These kind of things always happened one, just a matter of when n where. Ferrari trying to pay Alonso back for what he did to MSC a few GP back when he deliberately slowdown to let MSC overtake under red flag. Its MONZA u know, so its worth a try. Hahaha. Somemore this kind of thing damn complicated. Like MSC in Monaco this year, simply parked his car there. Its up to you how to exploit the situation. Somemore if you are doing the best times in earlier sector to back up your claim, its even easier for the stewards to side by you.

Sometimes drama are fun u know. Just like football. Sometimes offside also count the goal, sometimes not offside also cancel goals. It adds excitement and anger to the game n makes ppl wanna see how to avenge it.

If compare Alonso to MS and Raikonen, I think I still prefer MS first and Raikonen 2nd. Raikonen too quiet and hard to understand what he;s trying to say. If not sure bcome his fan. Alonso meanwhile is like a baby. I think he will b like Barrichello in Honda this year.

IMO, if the team boss give an order and the driver ignore, thats said a lot about the boss capability. Thats the case with Hamilton, he's all over Ron's head IMO. If you are Alonso, thats not very helpful mind you. I would have done the same.

Ferrari dont have these problem cos their boss is in control. Even Schummi obey his order. I dont know why Hamilton refused to let Alonso through.. if he joined Ferrari and was asked to let his teammate through in the final lap like what Barrichello did in Austria, I think he will explode. For me, Alonso hates Ron for not honouring his word. Im sure Alonso was promised preference treatment to move to McLaren while he was with Renault. I guess there nothing much he can do since his boss is Brit, teammate and enginner are mostly Brit and even FIA prosident who probably trigger the call to punish Alonso is a Brit too. Too much politic in F1 lately. I support the breakaway series...

QUOTE(verx @ Aug 6 2007, 11:12 AM)
The thing is McLaren are in a very unique position. Whether it's a position that is enviable or one that u try to avoid depends on one's point of view.
Both drivers have been so competitive that in this race they behaved very selfishly to the detriment of the team. Hamilton has apologised and Fernando shouldn't have reacted the way he did. 2 wrongs don't make a right after all.
Even though the incident leaves a bitter taste that the win didn't really feel like a win at all, i think it has taught us a good lesson.
*
If its as simple as that, I dont think the situation in McLaren would be as it is now.
Come on, face it. In any team, there is preferential treatment.
This has been going on for 11 (or 12?) races, so tension is there.
I seriously think McLaren should do something about it.
I feel Alonso will leave after this season, to Toyota/BMW I think.

BTW Hornet,
Stop arguing Hamilton is as fast as Alonso.
Tell me that when they stop sharing data.
Had not Alonso had a couple of reliability problem + some harsh penalty, he would be ontop of the drivers standing.

This isnt your average daily family business we are talking about here.
They are an organisation and Ron is their boss.
If they can ignore their boss orders means they dont give a damn about him. Regardless if he's a sensational rookie or 2 times world champion or 7times world champion, there has to be an order and command which kept everything well in place. There isnt such thing as fair treatment in F1.

oh well, they have a bet on it and it didn't work

Too bad, have to work hard at Brasil sweat.gif

Alonso will be fired up for Brazil. Its all for Hamilton to lose and all for Alonso to win.
Hamilton will be worried if someone take him out or he wasnt able to perform.
For Alonso, he will try everything to make the title his.

If the race is a wet one, it does not make much difference as they will not unleash the full potential of the engine.

I think with TC, its actually pretty good liao. Compared to lastime, many drivers spin around going into corners and stall their engine. I miss those time. Even MSC got few spin and out few times cos engine stall. Now with TC, we hardly seen anyone spin except for those lousy teams and drivers la.

IINM, when a engine stalls, it doesnt cause the car to spin. Usually more associated with the gearbox.

That was old time ma. Now with automated transmission, I dont think still got this problem lor. Old time when they forgot to undo the clutch, will stall after they spin. MSC also happen b4.

Added on October 10, 2007, 12:40 amBTW, I read the story about McLaren might be investigated for Alonso claim that his car was sabotage.

I really feel no necessary for FIA to intervene. Hamilton is leading the championship so I think its ok for the team to prioritise him. Although team order are banned, I dont think its wrong for teams to prioritise on one driver. Besides if its found true, wont it be damaging for Hamilton reputation. And then ppl will argue when it all started. I dont think F1 need anymore drama like this.

Woo...
McLaren thread discussing Massa and Raikonen...
Issit becos you guys heard rumors that Raikonen + Massa switch for Hamilton + Alonso somewhere?

Ferrari as it always has been alway root for one driver and that doesnt change even after the one that they root for has gone for retirement. Ferrari has nothing to hide. Massa made it public that he will help Raikonen if he really needed him. So why argue. This is a well known way from the past when Couldthard let Hakinen pass in Australia even in the first GP. So no point.

I believe leave this thread for McLaren fans to discuss McLaren related issues.. Let their fans voice out what they think is happening to their team. And I strongly believe Ferrari fans better leave your comment in Ferrari thread or Official F1 thread.
