Hello dudes.

Long time (2003) EVE Online Player and Mat Salleh here. Been in Malaysia almost 3 years now.

Do still have an EVE account which I log into about once per month to camp with some Finnish dudes in 9UY (Provi)- but most of my old in-game buddies are Euro-timezone so it is generally pretty boring.

I was one of the founders of the CVA (and actually launched CVA's NRDS experiment with Provi 11 years ago - http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=121887)

Anyway, my main is intimately connected to CVA (for whom I still have great affection and do not plan to leave) but CVA has pretty much zero presence in this timezone - so I was thinking about creating a fresh alt to try and discover the game anew. Haven't really played that actively since 2008 apart from joining the odd camp and being instructed exactly what to fly, so basically I am just above total noob level.

Was wondering if you guys could advise on some reasonably active corps/alliances on this timezone who would be interested in having an old fogey flying with them from time to time. As I also have a 3-month old kid now I will never be that active - but may be able to bump that up if something interesting was going on!

Well - if I get the time will try and get into the Kopitiam channel and join up with you guys.

With regards the CVA misunderstanding I am sure I can sort something out once I get to know you - although I don't really know the full background yet.

CVA is generally willing to take people off their KOS list provided they get some reassurance that the behavior that got you on there in the first place (which is usually shooting people in Provi) will not get repeated.

Anyway, if you do have to continually refer to CVA as 'CVA Scum' I will not be offended - especially if you play Minmatar characters - as spent a long time fighting Ushra'Khan who always called us CVA Scum (and actually was very friendly with a lot of them when we met IRL) ;-)
