Hi,

I read somewhere that the whole world is playing in one server. This maybe a stupid question, but how is the ping if let's say I am playing from Europe and planning to play with people back in Malaysia?

its one server, your ping to Iceland from Europe will be fantastic

we are the one that have to connect all the way from Malaysia to Iceland, but personal experience you wont feel the lag thanks to TIDI, which is sort of slowing down the server. a 1 minute cool down becomes 10 minutes thanks to that stupid system anyway

Ping will only determine if you can catch small ships like interceptor on time.

In big battles, time dilation (server basically runs at 1/10 of normal time), ping won't be an issue as everyone is in bullet time (think the Matrix in space, for 6-24 hours depending on type of engagement).

Eve is not a game for people who have no patience, who just want a quick game (login, play then logout). I've known many people who gets burned out by what is not directly involved in the game rather than what is happening in game. Moreover, skill training takes a long time, some players just outgrow their characters and quit.

Not wanting to criticize our education system but most of us grew up in an environment where our teachers/parents direct us what to do next in life, EVE is more a sample of a more "free" education system. YOU decide what you want to do, YOU decide what is enjoy, YOU decide what is the end game. So it ends up many of us do not know what we enjoy or do not know how to define an end game thus causing burnout.

CCP just announced buff to ALL nullsec anomalies spawn. It is now worth living in -0.1 system. For those of us that lives in highsec and wants to try living in nullsec, now's the chance.

New Sov mechanics is indeed rather taxing for both attackers and defenders. Basically attackers can come in and reinforce everything. If defense fleet arrives on time, they just run away and start a cycle elsewhere. If not, then they will complete reinforcing your structures and move on.

1.5-2 days later your structure will come out of reinforcement and 5-7 command nodes will spawn and then you play whack a mole. If you have 5 people with entosis and no disruptions, takes about 30 mins (on un-upgraded systems) to complete 10 nodes (no, you cannot speed it up with more people as the damn thing spawns 5-7 nodes and not 10 nodes, so no matter what, you have to do 2 rounds).

If attacker came back, you can either reverse the game on them where you run away and do another node (after your entosis cycle ends) or fight it out OR you can cede the system to them and then reinforce that system later on and turn the tables on them.

Worse yet, cloaky camper can now seriously disrupt your system index and there's no way to fight it. So we've all got our work cut out for us to maintain being a null entity.

In a way, CCP is successful with Fozziesov where there is just no point hoarding useless systems. However, if you stay in deep null and need a passage in, then it will be a serious hassle as some station systems are just there for cyno. Your alliance won't live there and thus it can be easily reinforced and you cannot give up those systems.

Changes I would suggest for CCP is for the nodes to despawn automatically once the vulnerability period is up so people who are not serious in taking the Sov won't cause too much hassle for the defenders. Right now there are nodes that was spawned for 3 days and no one bothered to either take the system or defend it.

Starting the deployment of the Aegis Sovereignty, the pilots do not need longer to have standing 8.0+ with NPC to install jump clone. You can install your jump clone anywhere in NPC stations.

RIP Estel Arador Corp Services - o7 respect for free cloning service!
