Just try everything out first. Most of the fun stuff is PvP related and most of the dull shit is PvE like ratting or mission grinding. Mining is probably the shittiest thing you can do in EVE but it's stable income while you're doing other stuff like Dotaing or watching a movie laugh.gif

Oh that was one of my guys, he panicked and forgotten his drones. Learned his lesson and paid his fees. As a corp we will continue to stand by him and help him regain his confidence. BTW, he's a fellow Malaysian.
*
Yeah, I was watching the video for the lulz and then I noticed your corp logo at the end brows.gif It was really weird how he didn't just use his skiffs' drones to kill it but I guess people just do weird things sometimes when they get dropped on unexpectedly. Btw, what are you guys up to now? I've noticed that you've swapped alliances. hmm.gif

New Sov and Capital Updates: http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-bl...ent-iterations/

Vanguard Release (September 29th)
QUOTE

It will no longer be possible to online Entosis Links on Interceptors  rclxm9.gif

We've been observing activity closely since the Aegis release, and after internal discussion and thought we have decided to propose a restriction on Entosis Links for Interceptors. We continue to be committed to leaving the maximum possible player choice and allowing strong options for asymmetrical warfare, however we think this restriction will help encourage greater variety of ships in Entosis gameplay and create more interesting combat opportunities. We'll be closely watching the results of this change and we are leaving all options open for future changes, including potentially adding more restrictions or even rolling back these changes depending on the observed results.

Fuck yeah. No more trolling by nigh-uncatchable tiny fuckers.

Parallax Release (November 3rd)
QUOTE
*Passive regeneration of structure capture progress

Alongside the Interceptor change in Vanguard, this change is intended to add a new tool for adjusting the balance between asymmetric attackers and defenders. It makes defending your sov structures against uncommitted attackers less of a chore.

All Entosis capture progress for owned structures, command nodes for owned structures and online station services will regenerate towards full owner control if nobody has an active link running. This regeneration only applies when the structure is partially contested, not while reinforced.

*Ability to self-destruct sov structures

This is a simple change to allow corps to willingly drop their sov structures. This will be especially useful for alliances that are willingly dropping control of some space to allow another alliance to take it. It takes the form of a new right click option on sov structures that's only available to Directors in the owning corp, and it will work much like ship self destruct. We currently have it set to a 20 minute delay, and as soon as the countdown starts a notification would be sent to the whole alliance. If this self-destruct is due to nefarious rogue director sabotage, any director in that corp would then be able to fly over and stop the destruct within the time delay. Delay duration is easy enough for us to change if we see the need, and we are very interested in your opinions on how to find the proper balance.

Downtime will abort any pending self-destructs, just like it does with ships.

This is a much needed change that will stop trolls who aren't serious about taking sov and help the defenders who are serious about living in their space. It's nice to see that CCP is listening to the players rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif

QUOTE
The Parallax release will also contain a significant iteration to the Jump Fatigue mechanic.

This change is designed to reduce the damage that a character can inflict by overjumping, reducing the maximum possible fatigue from 30 days to 5 days. In general, this means that a player who is mostly active on the weekend will have fully recovered from one weekend by the next. We will be closely watching how this change impacts behavior and we hope that it will make the fatigue mechanic less punishing without losing the key benefits of curtailing power projection. We are also investigating and working on tweaks to the formula itself, but those changes aren't quite far enough along to talk about yet.

I don't fly capitals (no skills or inclination to train for them) but it's nice that I can get a max cap reduction on my jump fatigue from hotdropping and using the jump bridges around my alliance's sov. drool.gif

im from dust514. im looking to initiate alliance with any/active malaysian eve corp. but i dont know how to do it. im the ceo by the way. got 38 player in corp and 14 player max online during holiday.

bonus to eve pilot - as i learned from US corp few years ago, any orbital strike from alliance memmber that have been request by dust514 player will generate isk for killing anyone down here including the requester.

how is this work?

Have you tried checking out Dirt 'n' Glitter or other Faction Warfare corps? Orbital Strikes are only useful in FW space afaik and I'm not aware of any malaysian corps that do FW.

Just started playing Eve.

Drop me a pm please smile.gif

You could try Raging Tapirs ingame. I think most of the people in this thread are part of that corporation. I'm not part of that corp yet since I'm fairly comfortable with my current alliance and I'm reluctant to leave..

http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-bl...-skill-trading/

QUOTE
High level:

There will be a new item type called ‘Transneural Skill Packet’ that can be consumed to give any character unallocated skillpoints
A Transneural Skill Packet is created by extracting some of your trained skills and combining them with a ‘Transneural Skill Extractor’ which can be purchased in the New Eden Store for Aurum (The Transneural Skill Extractor is analogous to the PLEX service fee in the character bazaar). Both Transneural Skill Extractors and Transneural Skill Packets can be freely traded on the market for ISK
Zooming in:

Creating a Transneural Skill Packet requires approximately 500,000 skillpoints (we will fiddle with this number a bit to make it most practical considering common skill level denominations)
Characters with less than 5 million skillpoints may not use Skill Extractors, they can still use Skill Packets
Trial characters may not consume Skill Packets
Extractors are consumed on creating Packets and Packets are consumed on use
Characters consuming a Transneural Skill Packet will receive the following amounts of unallocated skillpoints, based on the total skillpoints trained before consumption:
0 – 5 million skillpoints = 500,000 unallocated skillpoints added
5 – 50 million skillpoints = 400,000 unallocated skillpoints added
50 – 80 million skillpoints = 200,000 unallocated skillpoints added
> 80 million skillpoints = 50,000 unallocated skillpoints added
As you can see, this design favors skill transfers for younger characters and makes them very inefficient for older characters. We’ve designed it this way so that we protect the prestige associated with long commitment to a single character.

Why have diminishing returns at all? We want to make sure training decisions are still very important and that rapid respeccing of skills is not an efficient choice at any point. Note that respeccing below 5mil SP is not possible because characters that new are not allowed to create the SP items.

Feedback on how exactly to set up the diminishing returns, or even alternate ideas to reach the same goals would be very helpful here. We think we are in the ballpark but getting the numbers right is very important.

Awww yiss. CCP has answered my prayers rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif

QUOTE(Skidd Chung @ Oct 15 2015, 12:53 AM)
It's been a while since I played. How is the game these days?

Once in a while CCP sends me a mail to reactivate my account. Reminds me I still have PLEX in my inventory waiting to be activated.

I was really interested in low sec exploration last time. How is it now? Still profitable?
*
It depends on the region. Nullsec probably has the best loot after wormholes. I've heard that Sansha space has really good relic/data sites. I can get around 100-200m per exploration session in Angel Cartel space, which is where I live atm, depending on how far I'm willing to venture in hostile sov. Exploration is still one of the most profitable activities in EVE but also carries a somewhat moderate risk if you're not familiar with the areas you're exploring.

Is the discount not applying this time around on Steam PLEXes? I'm just not seeing a reduction in the price even though it says the plex are on sale. I've sent in a ticket to CCP so hopefully they'll fix it assuming there's an error.

Goodies for the current Blood Raiders Event:

QUOTE
The Crimson Harvest is coming, and will include:

PLEX discounts
Blood Raider Gauntlet sites in game with Blood Raider themed rewards.
Blood Raider SKIN and apparel sale in the New Eden Store along with new discounted bundles, some which include complimentary Blood Raider SKINs.
Complementary Blood Raider SKINs with selected Aurum packages
Account reactivation discounts
Blood Raider Gauntlets will be appear throughout New Eden during The Crimson Harvest, inviting you to test your piloting skills against some of the best of the Blood Raider ranks. These Gauntlets will appear on your overview as long as you have "Celestial Beacons" enabled, and should you successfully complete a gauntlet, you will be rewarded with a Blood Raider Abaddon SKIN in addition to a chance of receiving a special Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerator.

Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerator (will increase all attributes by 10 points for 24 hours)
Advanced Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerator (will increase all attributes by 12 points for 24 hours)
The accelerators are plugged in through the same method as a standard implant, and will last 24 hours before they are depleted. Be aware however, that you should use them with haste, as come November 2nd, they will cease to provide any training bonus.

As a reminder, the Blood Raider Gauntlet and the rewards found within will only be available during the Crimson Harvest and the Blood Raiders will make sure you cannot use the accelerator after the harvest ends... so you better be quick!

- Team Murder Services

It's better if you've got biology trained since the booster will last a lot longer and you get more bang from your +10/+12 boosters. I've currently got a dozen of these babies stocked for my characters brows.gif There should be enough to last until the 2nd since they stop working then.

6 = RM 448 ( wtf?)

I just sent the mesage to steam support but afraid they will hike up the price due to RM falling.

It makes me wonder if it's actually a bug or whether someone tried to change the price so that we pay the USD equivalent for PLEX but forgot to change the first two prices as well. All the higher tier plex packages cost about RM74 each and the AURUM price is close to what the US guys pay hmm.gif

It depends on how specialized your character's skillpoints and training are. If you've got random crap like mining skills in addition to pvp ones then it's worth a lot less than a dedicated pvp character. You can probably get at least 30b.
