Alonso...would have preferred 4th but his car was obviously struggling for pace today especially under braking
But i'm still happy with the result. Bring on Spain!

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Apr 17 2007, 02:23 PM) Ron Dennis has done it again IMO. He now has two of the best drivers currently on the F1 field right now. Kimi is fast, but Fernando is all in all a more complete driver. Lewis is still not his peak yet, thus he can be better. BRING ON THE FERRARIS!!!! linkin u have any insight into why we didn't set up Alonso's car properly. I mean he should have known in qualifying and just copied Hamilton's one or something...But he did a good job nonetheless to bring it home. |

They do have different driving styles but something was not right with Alonso's car. Even Hamilton would have struggled to drive that car. I remember Kimi was almost caught out once because Alonso had to brake to a near stand still just to make a corner. It was definitely more of a setup problem than a driving style one imo. We are talking about a 2-time WC after all here.

It's the same car with aero updates. The bridge front wing design isn't working well though...so it won't be used in the next race. Sidepods are noticeably smaller but it's really difficult to know what has changed just from the outside look.

Hmm...I don't blame Alonso for trying what he did. He had to as the race pace of the Ferraris are way above everyone. They might have even extended the gap. But i have faith that McLaren will get better
Good result given the circumstances. |

Massa was clearly not going to relinquish his position so easily after how he was so hevily criticised after Sepang. Maybe Alonso should have left him abit more room going into the 1st corner. I'm not happy with Massa either but there's nothing we can do. Just have to forget about it and look forward to the next race.

After reading the full press conference I have to say I was abit peeved with the media constantly trying to milk Fernando to say something controversial. I mean the headlines have all been suggesting that Fernando was "whining" but after reading the whole thing in its entirety i can honestly say that Fernando is class

I'm not worried at all about Alonso at all or Hamilton for that matter. Both are very strong mentally. All those ppl bashing Alonso are forgetting that Alonso won 2 championships with some really impressive performances.

Alonso needs to calm down and get his head down. He's clearly got the pace...the question is does he still have the mentality that made him a 2-times WC. But it's great to see Hamilton win his first race
I wouldn't trade our driver line up with any team...we have the best This post has been edited by verx: Jun 11 2007, 03:00 PM |

QUOTE(ykc @ Jun 12 2007, 01:59 PM) Regarding the tyre used in the race, I heard from the commentator said that a car need to use all the types of tyres in each race, which is soft, medium, and hard. Is there such rules now? It's just soft and hard iinm. But Bridgestone have different types of soft and hard for every race. And yes u need to use both options during the race. |

1-2 job done
The development we have done to the car is really impressive. We got the total package now. I just can't see this car getting beat in any kind of track from now onwards unless its our own doing |

QUOTE(faris21 @ Jun 17 2007, 08:27 AM) yeah,if mclaren make another 1-2 tonight,i think raikkonen want back to woking,he look not suitable in maranello`s car Uhh...no thx I wouldn't want Kimi back in a McLaren after the way he left us and the comments he said about us And as i've said before i wouldn't trade our current lineup with anyone Would we be in this position if Kimi was still driving for us? I think not |

QUOTE(karhoe @ Jun 17 2007, 01:56 PM) Alonso boh song in his team edi, according to newspaper, reported by AFP, he seems to have found the way to break his contract with Mclaren and 3 teams are already knocking on his door, one of them is Ferrari Source? As far as i'm concerned there's no way to break a contract wihout paying compensation..and I doubt Alonso would want to lose out on his lucrative contract. |

Well..i think one should take that news with a grain of salt
It states that Alonso has found a way to break his contract but it failed to state what it was.. And Marca isn't the most reliable source of news...I would know because I'm a RM fan |
