QUOTE(caviars @ Aug 11 2007, 06:06 PM) The team is now too small for both Hamilton and Alonso. Ferrari wants Hamilton but there is no way McLaren is going to give away their rising star. Alonso is 26 , the current world champion and he still can win races. One of them have to leave the team by the end of this season And Alonso's possibility is higher. He is not as happy at McLaren as he was at Renault. With too many things happening this season, it would even shorten his stay at McLaren. Even some McLaren fans in this forum also dont like him..

More and more teams are adding fuel to the fire burning around McLaren. Seems like every team also wants McLaren out of the championship.

QUOTE(faris21 @ Sep 14 2007, 02:49 AM) McLaren lost much money+many sponsor cabut lari=???? when u not have enuf money,u only can`t maximize testing and car development McLaren have crucial problem soon McLaren is an established team. The team should have funds carried forward from previous seasons, right? It might have caused a bit of problem budget wise but McLaren is a team which uses less money than Ferrari. I just fancy a team which can use less money than the Prancing Horse, like McLaren and Renault, and then beat that team to the title. It just shows that money is not everything in F1.

It is about being or not being caught red-handed. In this case, it is more about the bitter rivalries between the two big teams. Even without the spy case, Ferrari always want McLaren 'dead'. Pathetic..
By the way, I read in the news that analysts calculated that the correct amount of fines shd be 31 mil instead of 100 mil. FIA is going to be fat!!

QUOTE(alien2003 @ Sep 17 2007, 04:44 PM) Based on the table now, to win the WDC ahead of Alonso/ Kimi Lewis will need 29/ 18pts from the last 3 races. That's assuming if Alonso/Kimi win the remaining 3 races. Am I right? I guess Alonso is showing & using his experience in this late stage of the F1 season. Undoubtedly, Alonso is still the better driver. Look at the consistent lap times during his race. He can maintain the lap times within 1 tenth of a sec. Somemore, he gives lots of feedback about his car to the engineers. Sort of like Schuey and Rossi. Very few drivers are like that. Shame that he did not get along well with the team.

QUOTE(caviars @ Sep 21 2007, 08:02 AM) After all these, it is almost sure Alonso will leave McLaren after this season. But he still under a big contract and no other team show interest in him so far. I thought Renault is interested to sign him. Alonso is not fans' favourite but he is one of the best in the business. Surely, some teams will try to sign him. I dont think Ron Dennis will hope for Alonso to stay. Strained relationship.

Very strained relationship between Alonso and Dennis. If they have a strong relationship, the team will be in even better condition of winning the titles.
Now, there is a rumour about Alonso replacing Ralf.

The victory definitely shook off some pressure for Hamilton. If Hamilton finishes in front of the two rivals, he will be the world champion!! Definitely there are media craze going on in Britain now..

I heard from the radio that Hamilton might be penalised with a 10 grid penalty at China GP for his causing of the Vettel-Webber crash. Dunno confirm already or not..

Actually, Hamilton already had the race under his control. Just one mistake and all ended up in smoke.

If the race is a wet one, it does not make much difference as they will not unleash the full potential of the engine.

QUOTE(evoHahn @ Oct 10 2007, 09:14 AM) if you spin, the first thing to do is : press the clutch, not depress it, this will keep the engine running. imho, caught unaware when signing for Mclaren, he thot he will be the de-facto number one in the team since he's team mate is a rookie. It is quite logic. He thinks he is a double world champion and he thinks he deserves more from the team.

If Lewis adopted a two stop strategy, the race results would have been different. I was really surprised to see that McLaren short fuelled him twice. I did not get to hear what the commentator said because I did not turn up the volume. Housemate was asleep. Why a three stopper instead of two?
