QUOTE(sleepy @ Jul 22 2007, 11:10 PM) I think alonso probably told massa that incidents like this is normal, eg. like what happened during spanish gp. And that probably angered massa? It's something like alonso told him "hey you hit me in spanish gp, now i hit you back. fair and square" Anyway, this is based on my own assumption only coz during the post-race interview i heard massa mentioning "spanish gp" I think Alonso was saying that Massa tried to pull off another "Barcelona" by hitting him. He was upset back then in Spain and i think he was annoyed that Massa tried to hit him off the road again. I can understand why he's upset (hell i'm upset about Massa as well) but i think he should have handled it better.

QUOTE(desmondgasper @ Jul 22 2007, 11:20 PM) Yeah i too feel alonso is too cocky for his own good...,hamilton would make a much better champion this year IMHO and he deserves it coz of his consistency judging from the races so far this year...,except this latest one of coz.. I was a ferrari supporter but now swayed to McLaren due in most part to Hamilton..., No offence but i really don't get ppl changing teams like their underwear...but to each his own i guess

QUOTE(sleepy @ Jul 22 2007, 11:21 PM) Yeah. With remarks like that, ppl will probably think alonso's trying to start a fight. Massa was clearly upset right after the race when alonso talked to him. Massa was poking his finger at alonso's back before he leave. Gosh, luckily it didnt broke into a fist fight. I actually think Alonso's a nice bloke off the track but his PR skills needs some polishing

QUOTE(Samurai X @ Jul 24 2007, 03:32 PM) yaya! and mr crybaby will let loose his emotion like the one in nurburgring any possibilities of point deduction from the spying case As long as a McLaren driver wins the championship in the end it's fine with me. But my bets are still on Fernando And u can dream about the points deduction. Just have to wait and see

Hmm...abit of gamesmanship by Alonso or was the delay meant to get him out on a clean track? At least it's still a 1-2 for us..

QUOTE(unknown @ Aug 4 2007, 09:11 PM) Now hope Heidfeld will hold Kimi as long Heidfeld can. I don't think it matters though. We've got the fastest car on this track.

Just ignore them. At least better than their underperforming drivers . What happened with Massa. He looked good until that last third...

I dunno why they are investigating it. It's an internal team problem not the stewards' I think Alonso's engineer wanted a clean track which was why he held him up. Ron will settle it no worries.

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Aug 5 2007, 01:03 AM) Why investigate Ferrari's team orders in the past? Remember all the fuss caused by MSC being "allowed" to win? This is different. These weren't team orders. It's not like Hamilton was ordered not to set a time.

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Aug 5 2007, 02:50 AM) You kept saying that to all LYN members Good motivation for me to keep posting Mainly because this web site belongs to LYN On the contrary I don't say it to everyone if u've actually opened your eyes and take notice. You enjoy trolling and i know u make no secret of it. But i would like to remind u that this is after all a "McLaren" thread and there is that Report button

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Aug 5 2007, 03:06 AM) Don't threat me. Be my guess with the Report button. I'm confident I did not do anything wrong. Oh someone feeling insecure? Nah i'm not threatening And i won't hesitate to use the button if i see fit. I guess u have reason to worry given your track record I'll give u a little advice: Show a little respect before u post anything next time.

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Aug 5 2007, 03:20 AM) 1st threat to use it now calling me insecure I've already PM the mod about this. I'm waiting for his reply. And I gave you a little advice: Respect others too and don't simply tell people to scamper etc. You don't own this thread nor LYN. Haha...the day the word "insecure" is considered an insult is the day i lose faith in my fellow Malaysians. U know there's a reason there are different threads for Ferrari and McLaren right? What u have been doing in this thread is trolling. No two ways about it. And i show ppl respect if they deserve it.

This types of incidents is just something McLaren have to live with. Having to balance the team's efforts between 2 very competitive drivers is not easy. Having said that i think McLaren had the situation blow up in front of their faces.

QUOTE(karhoe @ Aug 5 2007, 05:15 PM) My very simple question, can Alonso just go out first, and drive very slowly He can just drive out first, let Raikonen overtake him, only makan abit dust also will jeopardize tyre performance ? So he rather let Hamilton wait then to makan abit dust? That means he is selfish ! Watch that video, you obviously saw his physiotherapist giving him the signal to move If I recalled correctly, Alonso did not say anything about dust right? He said "making sure the tires were the right one" Alonso was making excuses. Satisfied? He was angry that Hamilton botched his qualifying strategy by going out first. Alonso was the heavier fueled car and he needed to burn off the extra laps. So he took revenge by botching Hamilton's one. Too bad the stewards' decisions backfired on him. Ron will have to settle this between the 2 camps.

QUOTE(karhoe @ Aug 5 2007, 06:01 PM) true, im a ferrari fan. But I am being neutral here on Alonso's action Added on August 5, 2007, 6:03 pmBut Alonso did it the illegal way, and hence he got it I doubt u can be neutral when most of u have some kind of vendetta against Alonso. Besides giving your opinions on the matter is acceptable. But some of u here insist on flamebaiting and trolling here just to spite others. You can already do that in your thread. Just leave this thread for us McLaren fans to discuss. After all that is the purpose of this thread right?

Great drives again by both drivers Best result we could have achieved given the circumstances. I expect McLaren to appeal regarding the constructor points and win that appeal as well.
