WhatsApp update today was great, not only introduced to WhatsApp calling but also fixed my notification delay problem

Just updated mine as well...but I didnt have the delayed notification issue to start with

But the whatsapp call is cool

Can also turn off Read Receipt (aka double blue tick) at Settings > Account > Privacy
