nah i can only get one,Arma 3 is around RM 74 now with steam sales and this is like rm9.50, this month i have spend quite alot for gaming like new headset,Overwatch and TW:WARHAMMER.Im afraid if i dont like Arma 3 because high learning curve and Steam refund is only 2 hours max playtime not to mention i have refunded 5 games already.If i dont like Insurgency its only 9.50 thats like just 1 lunch meal so nothing lost.I need to check more videos of ARMA 3 to see if its worth the investment for me,i know its good.
hows the community in Insurgency?Compared to CS go

CS:GO has an extremely large population. However the normal mode everyone play nowadays is the 5v5 competitive. I played 1.6, Source and also CS:GO. While CS:GO is fun for a while, it becomes boring and technical as you move up the ranks. Maybe if you have a tight group of friends, it could be fun but to me I feel it lost the essence of why it made CS 1.6 fun, which was 15 vs 15 in a small map. The constant action is just lost nowadays in CS:GO, something that I missed and found in Insurgency. Now, its 2 person 1 side of the map vs another 2 enemies. Wait for them to attack, defend, if you die you other team mates will come to defend. I don't know why I played 180 hours of it, maybe that is how long I took to convince myself I am not having fun anymore.


Insurgency excels in 16v16 battles. The modes are different but similar to Battlefield. Insurgency is smaller scale, Infantry only battles with no destroyable buildings compared to Battlefield. It is definitely more hardcore in a sense, you die in a couple of shots, there is no hit marker, you are generally scared of getting your ass shot when someone is suppressing you. Grenades are a fucking bomb unlike the potatos they throw at you in CS and there isn't any 'indicator' telling you where it lands like in Battlefield. You will feel the pain of C4 and fear the sound of the RPG being fired. I played BF3 and BF:BC2, and even with all the destruction, those 2 games cannot capture the intensity I feel in Insurgency. I have currently >1300 hours in Insurgency. And I still can't wait to play everyday.

So yeah, RM9.50 is a no brainer.

Trust me, this game (and ARMA) is worthy to be in your inventory.
I also didn't expect to clock close to 1000 hours in a twitch FPS shooter...oh boy like Skidd I still can't wait to hop in to play now as I'm writing this now.....Insurgency is kind of game for me to quickly hop in and out and still gives you that awesome satisfaction... ARMA while in the other hand is a different animal, a long slow buildup to orgasmic experience with a bunch of group of people, with all that coordination, comms and stuffs..both are extremely good games and NEED to be placed in your inventory..

okay last question,how toxic is the community?cs go is so damn toxic that its insane,LOL is toxic but since theres no voice chat its fine but games with voice chat thats a bit hard.

Not sure about US server but SEA servers are generally good.

Can mute easily anyway so it is not a problem.


Active admins is the key to friendly and fair playing environment. I know I can't stand constant trolls, TKer, abusive players, racists etc. So those generally don't last very long.

oh okay,yeah i think im gonna get it...i kinda regret getting cs go to behonest since my first 2 matches was full of ppl Cursing **ck non stop. i mean come on let me enjoy the game before souring my experience..it was also in dead match.cant refund it so i guess gonna look for a team before playing cs go,the game is fun but the community is too toxic haha.whats your steam id skidd so i can play with you but ofcourse im noob.

Yeah the game is awesome.totally different feel than CS GO.i played couple of co op matches...dint dare to touch multi yet still noob and the feeling is different.In CS GO it has a light feeling,arcade feeling if i must say..in this you really feel like oh shit gotta stay alert,with 1 shot could end you. Such a different vibe from CS GO,im still wondering why i bought CS GO,oh well now i have 3 fps multiplayer to play and they are all different although CS GO community still annoys me.

oh okay.well i really love this game,its really good surprisingly its not popular.i went back and fort playing this and CS GO just to see the difference,CS GO is like an arcade FPS,i think the system itself is old not much difference from CS 1.6 which i played alot back in the days.Insurgency is like really good,not as hardcore as ARMA 3 which i give up on the training section,need a lot of time to play that game.Glad i listen to u guys and got this,the feeling of slowly moving around,while being aware where your teammates are,and keeping alert for the enemies is intense.

Sometimes i dont even dare to move because im afraid and alot the maps are quite big making using sniper actually like in realife unlike CS GO which is all about flick shot that AWP which is very arcadish since no way a real sniper does that in real life that no scope flick shot bullshit not that i mind because it is a game.In CS GO you rush A or B then shoot to kill,fast paced but not intense while in this game so intense like mini real war.

got co op,you can play solo if the map nobody in it.get the game b4 steam sales finish.

There is an option to play against bots in SOLO mode offline. They aren't very smart though in PVP maps. However the coop ones are not bad.

Got this game 3 days ago on sale and tried it out just now. Awesome game only held back by lack of PVP servers and players in the SEA region. Managed to join a US PVP Push server getting around 250 ping and played for an hour or so before getting auto kicked from high ping.

Maps are small, but big enough with many angles to attack and flank. Good array of weapons and customization. Firefights are intense. I managed to get ~3 kills during my play, one with RPG, one point blank when I flanked a sniper, and one molotov, and it was oh-so satisfying.

I highly recommend giving this game a go while it's on sale.

10/10 would RPG again.

SEA servers normally gets populated during peak hours. Often you can find 2-3 full ones. With the current sale, more servers is being filled. Glad you like the game. It's not as popular as CSGO but it is I feel better and more different.

Wah, Insurgency... I remember getting it from some old Humble Bundle back in 2014, it was in like the 1 buck tier and comes with 3 extra copies that you must hand out to others to unlock some other game. Back then it was quite hard to find people that wanted the free copies I had XD

Glad to see it has grown up. I'll give it a try when I have the time.
