QUOTE(khairtech @ Mar 11 2016, 10:55 PM) Hi guys, I have been using the S4 I9505 for nearly 3 years. The battery drains quickest if connected to mobile data. Significantly less battery drain if connected to WiFi.I revived my wife Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500 on 3G only no 4G), found out the battery drained too fast. Configured to lowest brightness and reset the phone with basic aps in it. I thought it caused by the battery, then I bought a new set of battery from Samsung KLCC RM100+. PS: On Android version 5.0.1 Unfortunately, same result but better than previous old battery. Nowadays a full charge in the morning will last me until evening based on my usage pattern. I use third-party replacement batteries. Pisen, Nohon and Deji but now unable to get Deji. Pisen can get from Lelong, Nohon from AliExpress. I swap out the depleted battery in the evening and charge it using a separate battery charger. I normally carry a spare battery with me when I go out. Smaller and lighter compared to a power bank (So far I have not used a power bank). |

QUOTE(GTA5 @ Mar 13 2016, 10:39 PM) Bro I wanna ask, how much is the capacity of those third party battery? I just don't believe the high capacities quoted by some of the third-party suppliers. I go for the batteries that quote the same capacity (2600mAh) as the original Samsung battery. Because this indicates to me that the supplier is at least not exaggerating.Been wanting to get sun global 3150maph battery but doubting whether it is as advertised. I heard third party batteries have shorter charge cycle compared to original battery. Is it true? I do not have equipment to measure the true capacity of the third-party batteries. Just use them and see whether they last about the same as the original. In fact, the third-party battery, being newer, should last longer than the older original Samsung battery. Right now I switch between the Pisen, Nohon and Deji batteries. Stopped using the original Samsung battery (the oldest battery) because the capacity has deteriorated such that it depletes faster than the other third-party batteries. I have also used Anker and Andida. Surprisingly the Anker, despite its apparently popularity in the US, seems to me to have less capacity than the other third-party batteries. I gave the Anker to a friend who is still using it. The Andida was my first third-party battery for the S4 and I find the worst. The phone will shut down when I activate the Camera app. I suspect the Andida battery cannot cope with trying to charge up the phone LED flash causing the phone to shut down. No longer using this battery. Lastly, in case NFC is a requirement. I think only the Anker and Nohon batteries comes with NFC capability. But since I do not use NFC, this is not a criteria for me. QUOTE(-kytz- @ Mar 31 2016, 08:18 PM) Yo Bro. Care to share where you buy those batteries? Wanna get a new one as I'll be using my brother's old S4 temporarily and I reckon the battery should have deteriorated quite badly already. Thanks! If you are in Malaysia and want to get it fast, then suggest get from Lelong. There is a Seller going by the name of Dashermart selling the Pisen battery for the S4 for RM 48 plus RM 6 for shipping. From my past purchase experience you should get it within 3 days of purchase. Alternatively you can try AliExpress. Some Sellers are selling the Nohon battery for USD 12 (free shipping). But shipping will be longer, can sometimes take more than 30 days. This post has been edited by m300: Apr 1 2016, 10:45 PM |

QUOTE(stalkie @ May 17 2016, 11:46 AM) Hi guys, My S4 had the same problem last Nov. At first I thought it was a stuck power button but changing it did not work. The solution was to change the motherboard. Cost RM 350. The repair was done at a shop (Atlantis Communications) in SS2, Petaling Jaya. You can try there if you wish to do so.My S4 LTE crashed and kept rebooting itself, all I did was trying to launch YouTube app and it happened... anyway, I tried some methods I found (How To Fix Samsung Galaxy S4 That Keeps Rebooting or Stuck in Boot Loop) eventually wiped off everything and still doesn't work... Sent it to SC at Sunway Pyramid and they came back to me later suggesting to replace the Power IC and see if it fix the issue. They tried but the problem still persists, so they told me to take back my phone as they can't do anything unless I am willing to change the motherboard (which is very expensive) I took back my S4 LTE, pay the service fee and I bought a new phone. I'm just sharing and see if anyone faces the same problem, and here is the SC charges (in case you interested): 1. Diagnostic RM31.80 2. Power IC RM152 3. Motherboard RM954 They only charged me the diagnostic fee as they can't fix my issue. |

QUOTE(lin@lowyat @ May 4 2017, 10:56 AM) Suggest Pisen brand battery. But this battery does not come with NFC. You can get Pisen battery for S4 from Lelong. Search for the offer that best suits you. Alternatively you can try AliExpress or other online sites. |
