I have been using the S4 I9505 for nearly 3 years. The battery drains quickest if connected to mobile data. Significantly less battery drain if connected to WiFi.

Nowadays a full charge in the morning will last me until evening based on my usage pattern. I use third-party replacement batteries. Pisen, Nohon and Deji but now unable to get Deji. Pisen can get from Lelong, Nohon from AliExpress. I swap out the depleted battery in the evening and charge it using a separate battery charger. I normally carry a spare battery with me when I go out. Smaller and lighter compared to a power bank (So far I have not used a power bank).

I just don't believe the high capacities quoted by some of the third-party suppliers. I go for the batteries that quote the same capacity (2600mAh) as the original Samsung battery. Because this indicates to me that the supplier is at least not exaggerating.

I do not have equipment to measure the true capacity of the third-party batteries. Just use them and see whether they last about the same as the original. In fact, the third-party battery, being newer, should last longer than the older original Samsung battery. Right now I switch between the Pisen, Nohon and Deji batteries. Stopped using the original Samsung battery (the oldest battery) because the capacity has deteriorated such that it depletes faster than the other third-party batteries.

I have also used Anker and Andida. Surprisingly the Anker, despite its apparently popularity in the US, seems to me to have less capacity than the other third-party batteries. I gave the Anker to a friend who is still using it. The Andida was my first third-party battery for the S4 and I find the worst. The phone will shut down when I activate the Camera app. I suspect the Andida battery cannot cope with trying to charge up the phone LED flash causing the phone to shut down. No longer using this battery.

Lastly, in case NFC is a requirement. I think only the Anker and Nohon batteries comes with NFC capability. But since I do not use NFC, this is not a criteria for me.

If you are in Malaysia and want to get it fast, then suggest get from Lelong. There is a Seller going by the name of Dashermart selling the Pisen battery for the S4 for RM 48 plus RM 6 for shipping. From my past purchase experience you should get it within 3 days of purchase. Alternatively you can try AliExpress. Some Sellers are selling the Nohon battery for USD 12 (free shipping). But shipping will be longer, can sometimes take more than 30 days.

My S4 had the same problem last Nov. At first I thought it was a stuck power button but changing it did not work. The solution was to change the motherboard. Cost RM 350. The repair was done at a shop (Atlantis Communications) in SS2, Petaling Jaya. You can try there if you wish to do so.

Just received an unexpected software update for my S4 (I9505) today. Nearly 290 MB.

Have been using the S4 as a "mini tablet" for GPS (Waze) tethered to current phone for Internet connection. The purpose is to minimise screen burn-in of the current phone.

Suggest Pisen brand battery. But this battery does not come with NFC. You can get Pisen battery for S4 from Lelong. Search for the offer that best suits you. Alternatively you can try AliExpress or other online sites.
