which way better?

Resetting phone first before updating firmware or after update firmware only resetting?

* already backup necessary files.

Lollipop version of Flappy Bird... LOL

I noticed there are few drawback after upgraded to Lollipop OS.

- Lockscreen not able to view any missed call, messages notification etc (see attachment below), need unlock in order to know.
- Phone Setting screen and phone screen etc & message setting screen all become White background, (even pull-down notification panel) I preferred Black background.
- Phone fully charged only the LED notification turn Green color, however the battery status indicator no longer show the fully charged icon.
- Calender changed layout, don't like it since fully occupied whole screen.

Yes, this is the one I'm talking, the lightning/thunder sign.


For example,
I'm browsing, whatsapp msg come,
it show content, I already disabled it but somehow it still appear..
previous OS it only show the whatsapp icons msg on top left corner there...

The only thing I wish they can revert back is the Black color background..
or at least it have an option to choose.
I know it can choose negative, but it look weird...

Sigh, updated to latest patch and now my contact list disappeared.

WTF..

Never had such issue on all those previous update,
Only this time kena..

Use Kies3 to do one round backup contact :



then go to Setting > More > Application Manager > ALL > Contact Storage > Clear Data



after that use Kies3 to restore back the contact, and viola,

the contact list back to normal.

Make sure your phone charge under AC mode, not USB mode...

Finally get my phone hard reset after recent update and remove the screen protector as well,

Whatsapp and WeChat restored successfully also,

feel so smooth & fast now.

installed back almost 90% apps, so far so good.

Guess that the slowness feeling will only come after 3 or 6 months later..
