Thinking of getting this i9505 (Ap set abt rm7xx) as my daily phone. Will it overheat if  web browsing for 1 to 2 hrs? use as modem for my pc via usb tethering for 2,3 hrs?

The main reason i choosing this old model is becos of its camera performance and it's low price at this point of time.

My S4 i9505 (4.4.2) got few problems, any sifu can help?
1) it can't retain wifi password, need to key in every time turn off/on wifi or reboot!

2) can't detect digi sim card! Maxis card ok

3)unacceptable high temp when normal use i.e. call, charging, net browsing,...

I just bought this phone (imported set) and after 3 days of use, I've been getting the famous 'no sim card detected, please restart device'.
arghh so tension..

New AP set bought on Lazada.
I googled around and found that this is common problem faced by s4 users around the world.
There are simple fix to this by cutting a small sponge and put it behind the back of the phone to 'tighten' the sim card ribbon connection. It worked for me so far. Almost a day of no sim card error compared to every few hours before. But I dunno if this fix is temporary or permanent 

so what did you do? or do you just sell the phone

from the "official" samsung service centre lolyat 4th floor
they quoted me RM 780 to replace mobo and format all data (he said this is the only way)

i said no... end up paying RM 30 for the so called labor charge to check the phone problem
to take back the phone
send to my fren's fren shop.... check.... its chip problem... rm 99 only...

all data still there.... nothing wrong with motherboard...

Hey guys,

I am using galaxy s4 black edition, still with Kit Kat 4.4.2 as I didn't received any updates OTA for lollipop.

However this morning I checked for updates and there is one about 1GB in size.

Anyone knows what this one is for? Whether for upgrade to lollipop or just security updates? Thanks.

Samsung gave most stable version for Black and the rest are mice...

For sure!!! but once loaded you will start to feel the slowness again...

S6 and Note 5 tempting but high price make me think twice...
