Most of the time people uses the Auto Brightness features, in which we cant really tell the actual brightness level as it changes varies to light condition.

Theoretically i agree, but i am certain the effect on battery life is almost insignificant. If youre a regular go in-outdoors quite a lot yes it does as the light sensors keep sending Lux brightness data to the CPU for calculation to recallibrate the screen brightness. But if youre not, its not that big deal i assume. Just around 2% consumption for that maybe? We cant really say as there is not much research and test for this.

Im not sure as i never used stock rom on my i9505 previouly, maybe i did but it was like only 2Hrs after i bought that phone

On Cyanogenmod i managed to achieve 4Hrs solid with total 21Hrs usage

Dont bother rooting if you wanna keep your Knox to 0x0, in your case, flash official FW with Odin, use latest firmware, start back from scratch, IMO maybe the apps you installed after root (that required root access) trigger that problem.

Flash the latest Philz CWM first, recommended to use Philz version, it is more proper and advanced, also safe.

Rather than using pure CM11, can try Carbon-Rom (Easy to use-rom), or Nameless Rom (Yet the best for me)

From what ive tested before, only Paranoid Android and Slimkat have a working OTA. But its not that efficient yet

Non-touchwiz rom/AOSP based camera is not soo good when compared to Touchwiz camera, if your priority is camera quality then avoid them. If like what youre asking, AOSP is your way

Slimkat is pretty solid. But i like Nameless-rom better

If Slimkat+Liquidsmooth Features+AOKP damn nice already. AOKP have the best features of all rom, but yeah its just on AOKP only

You can flash the custom pit file through odin. In which only released a couple of gig's. Not worth it as long as u got external sdcard

Lol how come ler? Can try what. AOKP is good but quite late in updates. Not like how fast Nameless/Carbon updates

But i like how AOKP arrange their features, the way it looks simple and tidy, but yeah less people used it nowadays. Carbon rom the simplest AOSP for me yet. Not soo simple but pack with features. Lacks of app circle only

The only Touchwiz custom rom that i can recommend is Hyper4m & OzcanRom. Hyper4m the best ive ever used, very lightweight and battery friendly but seems that its dev already cabut lari, no more updates since June i think.

At last im stuck with OzcanRom, quite okay, smooth and battery friendly like Hyper4m.

Remove manually la bro, Any apps can do, as example im using System Tuner Pro from Playstore, it is a good apps not just it can remove bloatware but many other tweaks can be done.

If youre lazy sangat , look for i9500 De-bloater script.

My recommendation for you, is to download latest firmware from www.sammobile.com and flash it thru Odin.

Once flashed, just use Towelroot to get it rooted, one click only. As easy as that, install Recovery and start flashing custom rom like a mad man again

Uninstall SuperSU/Superuser, then just use Towelroot. See if it helps
