Nope I am on stock 442. Sucks. Still cannot save docs to sd. Avoid at all costs.
Root will fix it.

I got myself Samsung S4 i9500 a week ago. Its on latest Android 4.4.2 firmware. The battery is draining quite fast and im planning to install custom ROM like UnCharted ROM V2. IS there any way i can try flashing custom ROM without tripping the KNOX counter or voiding warranty?

Battery drain fast? I can get 4++ hours SOT from 100 to 0%... I am on pure stock... By the way what do you expecting? 10 hours SOT?

Check with fkinmeng he rooted his not according to him knox remain unmove..

Mine lasting less than 10 hours.

- 56mins Voice Calls
- Wifi On

damn smooth, no hang or crash so far.

yes i rooted with towelroot, no issue just that can't OTA update anymore, not like it makes much difference.

the problem is even after i uninstalled all the rubbish junk apps, my battery usage is still high, max 3 hrs 30 minutes SOT, that is on a very good day.

yours is good enough considering high volume of voice call.

Nope, unofficial fix. Not sure about official firmwares but someone here already mentioned he managed to write on SD-Card(ext) directly without any hassle on 4.4.2. We can assume it is already fixed.

Where do I get the modem? Is this the one (Param.bin.tar)? If I flash this and than custom ROM will I get the latest firmware or still the old one?

check your baseband. it's your modem version

One thing you can't flash Malaysian stock firmware after this unless you flash normal pit file due to the smaller partition size.
You can flash only C version Chinese official ROMs

and fb, give a shit lah... just use Google account...
