Hi all. Add me in, Honda City VTEC gen 3 black pearl year 2005 bought for second hand.
Hi aarex. I bought mine for RM66500. Year 2005 with only 27 000km has been run. I guess yours shouldn't be a bad buy. yea, check if it's a johor plate number. cause before i decided to buy honda, i'm viewing a vios E spec. Car year 2006, warranty until year 2009, for the price of rm62500. It's a great price. But then i remembered Johor got flooded last year, then i checked for any sign of rust. Yes, there is it. Rust in the boots and carpet has the darker spot as in wet before.

morning everyone got a few questions here ler regarding the car. 1. I cannot start the engine, the key can be turn however. This solves after i lock the car and unlock. Why is this happening? 2. No tempreture meter? Then how do i know if temp is boiling? 3. No time in the car? 4. I bought the car second hand, do i need to reset the PIN? Don't know what PIN is that, found it in the security manual.
Haha. still noob with the car ler. Is there a complete manual online? I only got the service book and the security manual only...

QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Jun 2 2007, 01:36 PM) morning jeisern, slept well? 1. The immobilizer will prevent the car from being started if you left the car unlocked for a short period of time (say.. 5-10mins?) Besides lock/unlocking to start the car, you can press the unlock/lock button on the remote to remove the immobilizer when you turn the starter (when the indicator lights on the instrument panel lights up) 2. When the engine is cold, a blue indicator on the instrument panel will light up. Goes off when the engine is at optimal operating temperature. If it starts to overheat, the red indicator next to the blue one will blink. If it turns on and stop blinking, you should stop the car. It's all in the manual. 3. Well, perhaps the cd-player? 4. Original factory pin is 4 presses. As in (press-light-press-light-press-light-press-light) which will disable the immobilizer. light = the red indicator above the button. Thanks for the explanation.. but can still couldn't understand 1. Meaning turn the key first, then press the unlock button? 2. i don;t have the manual. that's why i was wondering... 4. Disable the immobilizer? What is immobilizer? What special funtion do i have if i enable the immobilizer? Thanks for explaining

QUOTE(Denzy @ Jun 5 2007, 08:27 PM) Anyone here have their exhaust system upgraded? I been reading on some topics, and found most of them using HotBits exhaust system, I am kinda new to modification, anyone here using this? Any comments? Or if anyone here have their exhaust system upgraded to something else, can you please enlighten me with any tips that can help me? I've heard how the Mugen Twin Loop sounds on YouTube, not bad, like the stock-like sound, but too expensive to get the Original one. yea.. i would want to know this as well. the stock 1 doesn't look nice. i would prefer the exhaust pipe to be double pipe

QUOTE(unitron @ Jun 25 2007, 08:46 PM) woi... ur cabin leaking Carbon Monoxide izzit.. ??? Inhale too much CO from the exhaust until dunno gear button from volume control ka... Both the 3rd Gen and 4th Gen Honda City have the manual gear control on the steering. Left and right also same. No such thing as volume control. Hmm... i wonder everytime u increase volume, the car go faster right. Yes ? you lower volume your car go slower but your rpm goes up... ??? If yes, then dun tell anyone, Honda purposely designed ur car in a special why. It's secret Honda project. shhh.... woot.. really? LOL Why both side is also gear control? i thought right side is gear control, and left is volume control i don't usually drive with manual mode la..very lazy to change gear.. let the machine do the job.. luckily not on manual.. cause i keep on pressing up and down while driving.. Sorry guys

QUOTE(dstl1128 @ Jun 28 2007, 11:02 AM) Cool. IMO, iDSI and VTEC shouldn't be that far apart in terms of FC for light footer. Given that, having dark/black interior, self-illumination dashboard and rear disc brake, VTEC should be my choice. That's why I'm concern with VTEC FC because most pages in here I search are iDSI. And according to TOVA from WongKN, VTEC run-in needs about 10,000km, so that's one of the reason why I decided to ask again. Anyway, so as long as VTEC could give me 14km/L to 16km/L (more if long distant highway), I'm ok. If it avg me around 10km/L to 13km/L, I would take iDSL. FC is still a concern but not until I would be ass about it craving for >20km/L. Otherwise I would just get Waja 9km/L and be done with it. Cheers everyone. p/s: I wonder why wouldn't they put the same interior color, rear disc brake, dash board, and differs only the engine. haha.. not to break your dreams.. but my vtec really giving me 13km/L. just service the car last week. now still driving and see if the FC did improve a bit or not.
