Yes, it was.

As I recall, RE1, RE2 and RE3 are available for PC. You would note that RE4 and those REs subsequently released are also available on PC.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for this as I like RE1 very very much but I do wish Capcom make a full RE0,RE1,RE2 and RE3 HD remake compilation like what DMC and MGS did

Yeap that's abit pointless. If originally wasn't released for PC then it make sense. But I don't havè the 1st game. So may grab it when on sales . Already got both RE5&RE6. Don hv mood to get RE4 HD yet . Saw a comparison pic on RE1 remaster. Not much difference yo

This is the remastered version for the REmake, which is Gamecube/Wii exclusive.

This is NOT Resident Evil 1 nor any of the enhanced editions released previously for various platform including PC but rather Resident Evil (remake) released back ago for the Gamecube console which was never released for any other platform including PC.

They basically remastered this into HD as with some other modern enhancements. Resident Evil (remake) along with Resident Evil Zero are one of the longest exclusive titles never released on any other non-Ninti platform to date. I'm rather glad Capcom wise up a little and see the potential of reviving this title after such a extended amount of time.

It's about time they remake the entire series with up-to-date graphics and engine.

With achievements , leaderboards and stuff. It'll make it competitive. Maybe a co-op mode where there are some maps for us to work it out. It'll be fantastic!

True, true At that time, Re1 does have the best graphic for me. Coming from a 16 bit snes 2D era to a fully 3D polygon survival horror game was unbelivable! It is the reason i want a ps1 so much. And then i was awed by MGS, Tenchu and Tekken 3 which seal the deal

Maybe it's just me, the real RE1 (neh the PS1, 90s graphics one) gave me shivers even playing in the afternoon (I managed to get it on my PC, playing using a PS2 controller)

The remake is just, judging by the trailer, less scarier. The adrenaline rush is just not there.

Do you think Capcom will be kind enough to give us HD version of RE0, RE2 and RE3 bundle pack? I actually think people may want to buy this if it was ever made

there a rifle?! i...i didnt get it..i notice got alot of rifle ammo laying around..i went back and find it..but no idea where is it....

you remmeber the big HALL? 2nd floor, or level 3.
c your mini map properly and try every door
*you at ground floor - a BIG stairs at the hall. go up 1 floor, and your mini map change, got 2 door at SIDE. go either 1.
then at 2nd floor, there's only 1 door in your mini map. go all the way until you reach the pool, then got 1 door at the end of other side. inside got the rifle and undrain the pool (come bac later watever it means coz i aint back to it yet at chapter 4).
i'm still enjoying it slowly in which a chapter take me an hr. scan every corner/room/place

yeap. door tepi ada circuit....so go near the circuit and press A/X. then Jill will unscrew it and complete the puzzle

Just started playing it earlier today. There is some weird glitchy performance for this port, frame starting dipping during opening cutscenes however for the most part the frames remains at a solid 50-60.


If you are expecting a faithful port from the original Gamecube version of RE HD then this is very much it.
