pretty nice movie, just lesser action and gore than what i expected.

i highly agree, the 1st one is totally a shit fest. the storyline is fked up. the cgi is too much, and donnie yen doesnt fit the role at all that it become too annoying just to watch him.

this new one is amazingly way better. like u said, aaron kwok definitely bring the wukong spirit with him without having to overly act the monkey character part.
the story and cgi also improves alot.

in fact i cant wait for the next movie, i hope they do make it.

watched I Am Not Your Negro



i thought im about to watch a movie like American Gangster, but its actually a documentary which turn out to be a really good one.
its getting into a little bit of america history and the racism against black people. it revolves around the peak time of 3 American civil rights leaders Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.

what suprises me

im watching it without any idea which sequel is this from cause obviously theres too much Journey to the West remakes nowadays so i have a low expectation and i later found out this is the sequel from the one by Stephen Chow. no wonder the cinematography looks the same. i like it.
plus the humour really make it for me

im not saying its the best but compare to all others Monkey King(Donnie Yen) and Monkey King 2(Aaron Kwok), this one is better.

i honestly hoping for the 3rd movie.
