a "gangster with a conscience" story. fair action, star studded cast - liam neeson, ed harris, joel kinnaman, vincent donofrio. 3/5.


from vegas to macau 2 is a poor "god of gamblers" thriller but a fine comedy. good laughs, sufficient gunfire and explosions. see chow yun fatt and carina lau either with plastic surgery or animated faces! plus nick cheung and shawn yue. 3/5.

Long time didn't watch Van Damme

dragon blade is a grand production. in some ways, it tries to be gladiator but fails. still, great landscapes, settings, impressive costumes and sword fighting.

chinese han and central asian warriors battling roman soldiers.

stars jackie chan, john cusak, adrien brody. 3/5.

best watched on a huge tv, hd audio.

Demonic (2014)

My planning to watch this movie is bad

I arrived late, the movie had already started for 15 minutes when I entered the cinema.

To top THAT off, I did not have any dinner b4, so I had to leave the cinema to get some grub...

Even then I guess the end...

The story is thin and does not make ANY sense....

Watched this on 1080p, just to see what I missed, and...

This is even worst with 2nd viewing....

Well, slapping James Wan's name at the front does not help matters.

You are just building people's expectation.

My biggest problem with this movie is the story.

It makes absolutely no sense!!?!

But my old avr without dolby atmos decoder, only enjoy dolby Thru-HD...... sian........

Video : 4 / 5, audio : 3.5 / 5 ( not yet try dolby Atmos, it should be lagi best )

Watched "focus", nice movie.

2 light movies to suggest, both 3/5.

danny collins is a touching, fun comedy-drama. i usually do not watch such movies but as a huge fan of al pacino, i had to watch. stars al pacino, annette benning and christopher plummer - big old names.




parallels is a low budget almost amateurish production but is enticing, keeps you interested. if you like the excellent syfy tv series fringe, you will like this. in fact, it comes across as inspired by fringe with the guys in black suits, black hats and big guns appearing at the end. a sequel is most likely as the story is just getting started.

Every time Tom Hardy speaks, it reminds me of Bane from Batman.
The rating is a bit overrated though.

The whole movie has voice filtered, sound so weird. Even Charlize Theron's voice became so manly.
