This is the director of the Dark Knight trilogy,
sci-fi thriller Inception and space adventure Interstellar.
And he always distinguished himself as a "visionary"
filmmaker and an intellectual storyteller.

Speaking to ABC News, Nolan said,
"Dunkirk is not a war film. It's a survival story"
And went on to discuss his reasons for focusing
on the characters themselves rather than the war elements.

There are very few Hollywood film-makers who could
have made Dunkirk because not many cinemagoing public
is not going to see war film about the evacuation of
330,000 British and Allied forces who had driven
practically out to sea.Got trapped in the harbor and
on the beaches of Dunkirk, France in 1940 after they
became surrounded by the German army.

And Christoper Nolan is one of the few directors
who manages to make that happen because his movies
make lot of money at the box office.

Movies of this kind normally come out in November-December.
The entire industry do not understand when Dunkirk open
in July summer weekend together with the $180 million,
"Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets".(which is
one of the 2017 movie bombs, worldwide made only
about 35% of the targeted goal)
People think executives at Warner Bros want to make Nolan happy
because he wanted it. Imagines how powerful this man is.

Caught it again for the 2nd time, wonderful filmmaking
and a true cinematic achievement.
For me,"Best Film of the Year So Far".

A far cry in subject matter from The Dark Knight or Interstellar.

i would call dunkirk 2107 a war suspense drama.

little dialogue, some action but not the kind of war action you see in saving private ryan or black hawk down.

it is about churchill's call to 300,000 british soldiers trapped in france to live to fight another day in 1940.

not much focus on any particular actor... stars tom hardy, james darcy, kenneth branagh, cillian murphy with a few lines voiced by michael caine.

it is a good movie with excellent cinematography and screenplay by christopher nolan, particularly the aerial shots of spitfires vs stukas.

will probably win an oscar or two. 4/5.



wolf warrior 2 战狼2 is a much bigger sequel to the original wolf warrior 战狼.

it is now the highest grossing chinese and highest grossing non-hollywood movie of all time.

this movie has everything for a commercial success action thriller - bloodful coup, mercenaries, an elite soldier, tanks, warship, missiles, rpg's, ak47's, combat drones... and a virus...!!

stars (and directed by) wu jing (spl, spl2, wolf warrior) and frank grillo (crossbones in captain america civil war).

wu jing has said he will make a 3rd episode. 4/5.

Cyd (Jessie Pinnick) is 16 when we meet her, having been

Miranda(Rebecca Spence)in Chicago.
They haven’t seen each other since Cyd lost her mother.

Miranda, living unmarried and childless live in the house she grew up
in with Cyd’s mother.She is a celebrated novelist and academic
with an active religious life.

This is a film that believes finding joy in each other.
It captures one deeply significant thing, that moment
when family members transform from strangers to loved ones.
Two people learning things from one another, as both
negotiate a relationship around differences of age, ideology,
and experience.

Rebecca Spence delivers one of the most beautiful monologues.
Her character is simply frustrated, a little hurt but she's
speaking from her heart.
She's not trying to make Cyd feel bad or even get an apology from her.
She just wants their relationship to be one based on love and
mutual respect.
In moments like this, Princess Cyd is a magical film.

bad genius is a good thai heist thriller.

inspired by incidents of leakages in the worldwide SAT exam, it is about high school students cheating in exams.

interesting enough to keep you watching but the ending... hmm... i guess it need to conform to the required morals.

audio is in thai, so you need english or chinese subs, whichever is applicable.

3.5/5.

This movie just want to show china is in power now over do it on the china part. And the ending is bit too "forced"

if we watch a few hundred more of these, we will get numbed... just like american heroes in hollywood shows.. save the people, save the planet...!!

i didn't watch the first one, did not expect much.... but...

beyond skyline (sequel to skyline) is not bad at all!

syfy... alien invasion, badass aliens, action full, never a dull moment.

this alien movie is refreshing, fast paced, highly watchable.

stars frank grillo, iko uwais, yayan ruhian.

yes, the guys from raid redemption are still doing their kicks and punches besides knives and guns!

1st half of the movie really interesting, but I thought the 2nd half of the movie wasn't as good.
