I haven't seen the movie again outside what was shown in the cinema, however the cut is out in the wild. As for the extended version, there are some more actions scenes, dialogues and comedy. It's about 13 minutes long, which is quite significant in any movie and the FF movies aren't just any movie. smile.gif

Here, from the director himself;
QUOTE
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What can we expect from the extended director’s edition that wasn’t in the theatrical release?
F. GARY GRAY: If you love action, you’re gonna love the extra action we put in the extended cut. We put extra sequences in the movie. We extended some of your favorite sequences. That’s number one. Number two: I personally love humor, and I can’t help but shove it into any movie that I direct, regardless of genre. And so there’s more humor in the extended version of The Fate of the Furious. And there’s some cool character stuff. I got a chance to let a few moments breathe between Charlize and Vin. I think it’s almost 13 or 14 minutes longer, and that’s an eternity in film. You can do a scene in half a minute.

My Annoying Brother (2016) (Korean)

Gosh

I think I had O.D.ed on Hollywood movie...

After watching The Mummy (2017), nothing currently at the cinema is motivating me to go to the cinema...

Which brings me to this little gem...

I first notice Korean movie in the year 2001, namely Volcano High (2001).

I was amazed by how "progressive" Korean movies were and how up to date (it was quite C.G.I. intensive.... for it's time)

Fast forwad 16 years, and this little gem bowled me over again.

This time as to how well a Korean comedy/drama can be!!

This movie is.... Korea's Rain Man? I am para-phrasing here.

The story can be considered a throw back (to Hong Kong's black and white movie era). And have to say the comedy is up to date. The actors Jo Jung-suk (who playes the older & annoying brother) and Do Kyung-Soo (the younger brother) did they respective roles justice.

The bar "pickup" scene was funny!!

Ending is predictable, and have to add, satisfying (for me anyway)

So, if you care for something different, go for this!

Quite "intimately" filmed

Video transfer is current, and have to add, not reference.

Sound is decent

Enjoy this movie for the story and acting.

My Two Sen.

Fabricated City (2017) (Korean)

This is how Imdb describes this movie

A gamer named Kwon yoo (Ji Chang wook) is unemployed, but in the virtual world he is a leader. Kwon yoo is then framed for murder. With the help of his gaming buddies they try to uncover the truth about this murder case.

And this is how I'm describing it

The Wrong Man (1956) + The Fugitive (1993) + The Fast and the Furious (2001)???!!!

If you don't believe me, watch it for yourself.

Having watched several Korean movies recently, here is what I can say about Korean actors....

They have a "trait"

They are tall, thin and have.... perfect nose?? laugh.gif

See for your self.

I like this.

Especially the beginning.

Give it a go why don't you.

Video transfer is great

Sound it also good

just watched this. 3/5.

yes, not bad. won't be surprised if hollywood will come up with a similar movie - the age of supercyber crime!

in a way, i thought there was some resemblance to fate of the furious (FF8) - the car chases, remote controls, hacking... biggrin.gif

No so much Musa...

The rest yes.

Yeah, there is a level of "grittiness" to Korean movie. They are more willing to take risk, with their storyline, unlike Hollywood

They kinda reminds me of Hong Kong movies, during the 80s and 90s...
