QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 6 2021, 09:30 AM) Perodua 5W30 is a semi synthetic oil. so 7k-8k km is ok to change. but for me, I rather upgrade it to fully synthetic, can go to 12k-13k km per change on my car. Fully synthetic is the one started with 0W right? But I read article saying fully synthetic is for new car and my car is 9yo QUOTE(pandikar @ Apr 6 2021, 11:17 AM) I used to believe mineral oil could last for 5,000km, semi synthetic 7,000km and fully synthetic 10,000km, until I came across this blog: I have the same thinking too[url=N[/url] It all depends on your car manufactured date and manual. In my opinion, engine oil graded SN and SN Plus could go for 10,000km, regardless whether it is fully syn, semi syn or mineral. Used to bring my car to SC for oil change due to warranty and seeing the engine oil draining out still very clear made me think was it really time to change Felt so wasted the engine oil QUOTE(abubin @ Apr 6 2021, 05:06 PM) How much for that ya? |

QUOTE(abubin @ Apr 8 2021, 05:53 PM) It does looks like made in Malaysia product. Packed to look like made in Japan. Even the number printed is Malaysia number 03-xxxxx without even international code. LOL Think from good side, MADE in Japan FOR Malaysia market so no need international dialing code Anyway, if it's good, I don't mind cause better than using branded but fake. Ya ya..I know can get direct from petrol station or supermarket confirm ori. I just am in the phase of testing out oils to compare it with ori Shell, Petronas and so on. BTW is oil filter A MUST to get ORI one, for example Myvi must get Perodua ORI? Last time a workshop said his customer all he use "OEM" for them... |

QUOTE(abubin @ Apr 23 2021, 04:12 PM) You can look under my signature a link to my youtube channel. Search for "comparing oil filters". Video quality is not great but it does answer your question. Great work opening up all of them to compare! Part 2 coming soon with better video quality to compare Honda filters. |
