If you want Shell, AEON Jusco is always selling the Shell USA (Formula Shell) 5w30 FS at only rm129/4ltr.
*
eh.. never notice any FS or SS xW30 promotion in AEON. blink.gif

This engine oil "claims" that their oil is so good, even after 20k KM still cair, and they are foolish enough to drive the car around without any engine oil and claim that the engine still sounds silent doh.gif

Guys I sent my myvi to petron for service and they used petron 10w30 and I was told that need to send back service in the next 5000km. That short?

Even last time Perodua can last 10000km. Is it becos Perodua using diff oil?

What's the recommended engine oil type for myvi 10w30?
*
mineral or semi or fully?
Anyway, for myvi no problem to use semi 8k to 10k km..
i've used semi for myvi until 10k km.. no problem..

At what point should i be worried about engine oil temp?(revving high and high ambient temp. Sometimes it reach 40C+)Thinking of installing engine oil cooler. I hate installing too much gauge in the car but now i feel like maybe i should get an oil temp and pressure gauge since i cant butt monitor heat or pressure.
*
Use defi zd. 10 or 6 in 1multi gauge. Can monitor all applicable sensor.

Myvi preferably use 5/10w30 oil.
Been using P2 semi syn (and some other w30 oil) on my 2009 myvi. Mileage already 230,000km.

QUOTE(HaloJ @ Feb 20 2020, 10:30 AM)
Hi, I need engine oil recommendation for a 12 years old Naza Suria 1.1L, current mileage is 170k+ km. 5W30 or 10W40 semi synthetic?
5W30 - engine feel smooth but wonder would it not safe to protect engine?
10W40 - engine feel hard to accelerate

3 months only drive 2k-2.5k km.

Kindly advice. Thanks

mineral oil enough? Need to check back user manual then.
Normally I use semi synthetic 5w30 but recently go a workshop which don't have 5w30 eo. so have to use 10w40. after that, very obvious the pickup very hard. Thanks for your reply.
*
i will stick with 5w30 if no oil lost.
1.1L small compact engine.

i'm having a vios 3 years old, using 0w20 fully syn castrol.

actually do when a car need to go slightly thicker engine oil ,as what ppl said higher KM cars go for thicker 5w-30 which is more common
*
If ur car engine have no trouble missing engine oils or white smoke.. then i will consider stick to the same previous oil viscosity.

Hi guys. I've recently installed an Oil Press gauge. And on hot idle its reading somewhere between 12psi to 13psi.

Engine Campro, Engine oil Lotus SHU.

Should I be worried? I think its a little on the low side at idle.

Vacuum on the other hand is great. 22inhg on idle.
*
That would be around 1bar rite.
Where u put ur oil press sensor?
Mine on CPS bot around 2bar (need to check back).
Sensor 'T' to stock oem press switch (behindblock).

On full rev 5-6bar.

0.8. Bar

I bought a sandwich plate adapter. Mounted between the oil fitter there.
*
that might be the cause of low reading.
using sandwich plate, it will measure before oil pump.
try relocate the sensor after pump.. T behind block or at front of engine head (if there is oil line port there, some campro head does have it, block off with hex nut)

Ori or thai sensor?

My thai defi pressure sensor giving false readings all over the place. Sometimes max, sometimes mid when idling, sometimes low pressure, sometimes no pressure.

Only the water temp and oil temp reliable.
*
Or course la... Thai . 🤣

Btw, my press sensor is small type, not the big yellow type.
Currently the pressure seems reliable..

But the temp sensor not reliable.
I have replaced both the oil and water temp sensor.. and lately the water temp sensor is going hanky panky..

Damn I never thought it'll read differently depending on where the sensor is located. Then again, I guess if its reading that low, then the actual reading should be quite abit higher.

Thanks for clearing that up.
*
if ur engine oil pressure light doesn't light-up should be ok. smile.gif
