QUOTE(wlchong79 @ Sep 18 2019, 08:20 AM) Actually, in countries with strict environmental regulation, these engine oils are also recycled, purified and reprocessed. Just that not sure about the standard of such operations in malaysia. This post has been edited by wkc5657: Sep 19 2019, 11:07 AM |

After warranty,I've been using Tesco semi syn on my wife's Myvi. 13th year & the Myvi is the most reliable workhorse amongst the 3 cars I have.I don't see any problem in using Petronas semi syn. |

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Sep 24 2019, 04:35 PM) do u think well known company such as tesco selling fake / recycled engine oil ? That's true, Tesso will not sell fake oil. But my question is towards recycled oil. they are selling legit engine oil , most of them imported from europe , it just the manufactured date not the latest one , they buy in bulk .. thats why they can sell it cheaper then petrol station There is a difference between recycled and fake! If properly processed,it may be satisfactory for use. With SUH being less than 50% retail price, it may well be industry approved recycled oil. I do not have the experties to say either way. Thats why I asked. If it is recycled ,then customer has the right to know! This post has been edited by SKYjack: Sep 25 2019, 10:46 AM |

QUOTE(wlchong79 @ Sep 26 2019, 09:41 AM) hell no. if ori shell for sure. but it may formulated for european car usage only. not for malaysia weather. Tks for the info. Btw I dont understand weather consideration. I'll be using 5W-40 for both my Contis. They are manufacture recommended viscosity! Both manuals indicate this viscosity being suitable based on outside airtemp chart. This post has been edited by SKYjack: Sep 26 2019, 11:07 AM |
