Nahh, most engine have a splash guard so oil won't hit the cap when its running
Just make sure to straighten out the dip stick so the reading is still accurate

Hi guys,

Recently I acquired my father's Waja 2004 (Mitsubishi) to be my secondary car.

This Waja mileage is now 301,000 KM and due for engine oil.

Can anyone suggest a suitable engine oil for this car with this kind of mileage?

Thank You smile.gif

If your dad keep using fully synthetic all this while, then just continue. If it does not have any oil eating problem, fully synthetic oil should be ok

Thank You.

Yes, my dad has been using fully synthetic all this while. How about the rating? 5W-40? 10W-40?

If you stay nearby Sg Apong, look for AMT Engineering.
They sell Petro-Canada premium diesel engine oil.

honestly for a long reputable company who had to put up all their product on display for millions of consumer(and competitor) to examine and purchase,it'll be extremely foolish and risky for them to sell anything thats not genuine as they cannot play hide and seek with anybody and they had a multi billion company to lose;but small spare parts shop outside who usually stow away their product until customer request, that can be very unreliable source

theoretically speaking, if you only use 1km in a year on full synthetic, how many years do you think it can last before the engine oil degenerate itself?

Play safe. Just change once per year considering your very low mileage
