Hi. Is mobil or repsol suitable for myvi 1.5? already 5 years but mileage just passed 51k km..

Why not. As long following the recommended oil viscosity then should be alright.

Believe recommended for 5W-40.
If so can buy Shell Helix promotion at Giant.

Any idea on mix usage of single spec ATF with multi vehicle ATF? Anyone has been mixing the usage between these two?

I'm planning to perform drain and refill with valvoline maxlife multi vehicle ATF to replace ESSO LT 71141 used in AL4 transmission.

Looking forward for any input.

Having dilemma on choosing the engine oil viscosity of 5W30 and 5W40.
Car is honda civic FD1 1.8L, currently with 140k KM. Using RON95 fuel. No overhaul or any repairing works done to the engine components so far.
Been using 5W30 fully syn all the while, but many mechanics keep recommend me to use 5W40 fully instead.
Theoretically which is the most suitable viscosity for my fd1, by considering the 140k km mileage? Daily usage is 50% highway 50% city drive. TQ

There's a saying, "if it ain't broke, why fix it?"

If there's nothing wrong with you using 5w30 all these while and no increase in oil consumption, really no reason to go with 5w40.

There were times that it was closer to 80 bucks....but still quite good deal at this price range if you're not fussy about it as definitely not malaysian specific source.

I'm no pro. Driving 7 years old city. Mileage 10x k km.
Recently 2 months back bought 2 bottles of shell fully syn 5w40 from giant. Gonna change for the first time later this month. Switching from honda fully syn 5w30. According to blotter test, the oil doesn't seem to do well, so was thinking to switch. Switch to 5w40 mostly coz want to try shell and very hard get promo good deal for 5w30.

I'll let you know how it goes. But at the same time I wanted to try use seafoam to clean the engine too. Might affect the result.

The shell helix fully synthetic is doing good for daily drive. Even good until 10k km as per recommended by using a fully synthetic.

Sometimes I push it until 13-14k km with this engine oil. No problems so far. Engine still sound nice

Guys , anyone familiar with Liqui Moly EO ? Plan to buy and use fully synthetic for my car. Currently using 10w40 semi LM, so far so good. I'm goin to change the EO very soon. Need some advice here.. What's the difference between molygen, toptec, high tec fully synthetic oil ? I also heard that the EO must be changed every 6 months, no matter how low the mileage it is... Is it true ?

All those hypermarket shell oil are definitely not malaysia specific blend, hence no shell malaysia sticker. Most are from hong kong, middle east and very rarely, EU.

Seems like nobody talked about LUKOIL here. I've used this oil and it is better than all oil I've tried before. I tried Shell, Petronas, Castrol, Mobil, Liqui Moly, and Maxxoil before, not sure about other more expensive brand then maybe they same level.

Appreciate comments for Bosch engine oil 5W40 fully synthetic from lazatda
*
I'm trying now on my turbocharged Exora. So far done 800kms in less than a month after changing the oil , mainlyn outstation drive and few of city driving. Happy with it so far.

I bought the oil because Giant was doing a stock clearance sales selling at RM 80 (where to find full synthetic at RM 80) so I decided to give a shot.

FC so far is almost similar as my ex 10w-30. So that's a good sign. Cause I've tried once 15w40 HDEO diesel oil and FC was worse.
Being turbocharged it should withstand the extra heat and extra abuse (turbo addiction). Furthermore my car manual says recommended 10w30 but 5w40 oil appears "lower temperature range" in the manual compared to 10w30.

Would like to hear from others whom used this oil. I know it's too cheap to be true but if it's from Bosch what could go wrong.
