why dun u just drop by at the counter @ sportsplanet or some futsal joint? just sembang wif the staff thr la icon_question.gif .

i play wkly, but just have rough idea/hearsay about the costs. so my figures could b well off d mark tongue.gif

for 5-a-side pitch, taraflex ( blue & red tiles ) could set u back min 30k/pitch....maybe even more rclxub.gif .

side netting & tension cables to hold the 'cage' unsure.gif

lighting? berapa biji just to illuminate 1 court unsure.gif

warehouse rental ? unsure.gif

finally, this kind of biz got peak hours. after 5pm mayb more bookings la. otherwise, also halau lalat only.

easily need 300k to start up sad.gif

it all boils down to land.
even if you have money and dont have land, also cannot do anything...
and land is important because that's where all your income comes from...
if you get a piece of land right in the middle of no where, this month would be a good month for you because ghosts will visit you more often...

if i kenal the boss easier to dig more..anyway i plan to use artificial grass turf..i was quoted bout 40k for complete setup including netting, rubber chips and goal posts..add in all the others will roughly come 2 about 180-200k for 4-pitch setup..do u know roughly 1 pitch on average during weekdays how many hours of rental?weekends i guess will be more unless it is a holiday streak..

i found a warehouse with good location and reasonable rental...it can b considered as prime area with lots of nearby factories and gov offices

then i guess my ballpark figure ain't tat far frm wat u were quoted nod.gif

nowadays, its taraflex surface all the way (red & blue tiles). even sunway sports planet tore up all 11 carpet courts & replaced them wif taraflex & 1 huge fifa-sized rubber court. artificial turf/grass/astro turf is the lousiest surface to play on imho shakehead.gif i would advice u to charge a deposit for court bookings. otherwise, u wil get tons of fong fei kei clients & it wil eat into ur profitability when a peak hour slot is wasted by irresponsible folks.

u do the calculations. lets say avrg 1 hour = RM 90 - RM 110 8 hours biz/day.

if u can break even by the 5th year, i suppose its an excellent return icon_rolleyes.gif

remember lighting. the power consumption of those lamps r much greater than fluorescent lighting for badminton courts. factor tat in too.

final note : i'm just giving my humble opinion frm a client's POV. i have no biz experience in this regard wink.gif

actually if u ask ppl who frequently play futsal most of them prefer artificial turf coz less dangerous n less painful if fall...it depends on the quality and type of the turf also..on the deposit yes definitely need 2 collect as ppl tend to ffk...im estimating utility will b around 15k per month...

different types of kaki have diff demands smile.gif . when u fall on artificial turf , the rug burns wil cause scarring. the skin peels along wif wateva leg hair & it stings like hell when u bathe. they think it wil provide them wif a soft landing compared to hard surface, but falling on taraflex is not really tat painful. just bruising. the tiles do absorb the impact of the fall compared to a more solid surface , e.g. basketball court.

the smooth surface of taraflex 'looks' dangerous, but its much more enjoyable as the ball moves much faster, hence accurate passing is vital.

e.g. Arsenal & Barca

grass pitch on the other hand, makes for a very 'heavy' surface. it tends to slow down play & players get tired faster. speedy players prefer taraflex.

frm my experience, most of my frens prefer taraflex wor unsure.gif

maybe u can do some sort of demographic segmentation? say have a few grass & taraflex courts to cater for all?

most international tournaments are played on taraflex. its the ideal surface. i've more than 10 yrs experience playing on this surface.

also, most places give discounts/student price if u show ur student card. normally they charge cheaper prices during off-peak hours (usually b4 5pm)

sori sir sad.gif i do not knw the difference. its always blue & red ( some times orange ) tiles for me.

when it comes to court bookings, its widely understood tat interlock court means we wil b playin on blue & red tiles/taraflex.

this one is at Lee Chong Wei Sports Arena :

oh yeah, 1 thing i wan to mention, these tiles r susceptible to wear & tear after a number of years.

thr is this place whr i go to whr players keep slipping on the same section of a particular court mad.gif vmad.gif the grip is completely gone.

on d other hand, i seldom c artificial grass courts having tears. its the tiny rubber pellets tat keeps getting into our boots tat bothers players though.
