So in another word, in order for both the graphic card and system memory to work hand in hand, its better to have both to be in the same memory family group like graphic card and system memory to be in DDR2?

nope. RAM on motherboard and memory on graphic card is different. as long your board supports PCI-E, it shouldn't be a problem. you can have your DDR2 RAM and at the same time using a DDR3/DDR4 graphic card. no problem

the DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 memory on graphic cards indicate its own memory. system memory is another thing, which is your RAM

p/s: waa reviving thread since 2006 and it has been more than 1 year since last post sweat.gif
