There is no 1-size-fits-all formation here. Of course we have the best starting 11 based on technical stats, but we have to think about players' strengths and weaknesses when going up against different opponents. A slight change of tactics ie Allen for Henderson and Lambert for Coutinho has boosted our possesion, work rate up front and caused trouble for Southampton's defence.
ie Lucas was selected ahead of Can and Allen, surely BR has his reason which we normal people who don't even play foot ball would know. Secondly, we have way more games to play this season in the UCL. That is why we need more players. Unless we get dumped out early, then we will have more than enough players to challenge for a cup, or even the title. Thirdly, this will give pressure to Sterling, Coutinho, Lucas, Henderson and the rest they know they are not confirm starters because BR has Allen, Can, Markovic and Lallana who may turn up and you may be benched for the next 5 games. Now of course, I'm pretty sure BR and co are working hard on Sturridge's partner. |

I'm so excited with Balotelli's news.
Hope it will be completed really soon. 16M for a full Italian international and age 24 is a steal. I'm pretty sure BR can contain his temperament like what he did with Luis. As for Alonso, it will be a really sad if he were to join any rival in the BPL. The only way to stop it is for LFC to sign him.  |
