Liverpool now offer 4 time the wages to sterling. 

Season kicks off tomorrow and many of us will be cheering for the teams we support and hoping our rivals to drop points.

For me (and many of LFC fans), I just want to see us progress  as far as we could in the BPL, maintaining top 4 and qualify for CL again next season. To do that, we need all our big guns fit and ready for a gruelling season.

Last year biggest weakness is our backline. We bought well in this department but losing Suarez bit off a huge chunk of fear factor in us. We need a striker of similar standard and we need one badly because we all know Strurridge is injury prone.

Midfield is as good as it gets, and this is where we stand the strongest. Coutinho, Sterling, Hendo, Gerrard and to a certain extent Lucas/Allen will be the focal point of a solid midfield.

CL is where the money is and this is where again, the big guns will need to perform. We might get some big teams in the group stage due to our low standing in CL. As such experienced player like Gerrard will again need to carry the team thru. I've always felt the CL is a double edged sword. Money is good but it can derail our BPL quest for top 4. Last season saw us pushing for title because we have no Europe to play and basically let go the FA and League Cup. So this year, our depth in squad will be crucial.

As for the Cup ties, I hope BR will let the youngsters play in ALL of the matches. No point risking the big boys and then falter in BPL due to injuries and fatigue.
