For what is worth, between eto and Mario. Of course there no match

But he thing is why did we fall ourselves to such predicament?

Granted everyone (big players) wants a ticket to Real Madrid or Barcelona, or bayern (let's say they are tier grade A).
For money minded players, it likely to man city, PSG, Chelsea and probably Manu (did you read what muller said what was offered to join manu shd he choose to!).

Why not choose Liverpool? Why it is hard to even attract real signings to be the next in line after tier grade A.

I know what My guess is, though many might disagree with me.
Yes, Brendan Rodger did say what he said n it's not made up by the press. U turn because we cannot get the real targets! hence the decision to go back on what we said?

The controversial signing in Mario seems to mask or eclipse our (BR) main targets?

Something to ponder cool2.gif

Of course he couldn't get his first choice target. He wanted Remy but the player has a heart problem. Once that went out of the window, we had to start all over again. I think we have a certain budget for a striker. Maybe 20 - 25mil in total. It's probably why we initially looked for loan and why we approached free agents like Eto'o.

Well, the Milanese just killed Balo. Very bitter, I would say. To me it's character assassination by the media and those who can't take him as he is.

He might invite controversies, and I'm sure he will no matter where he ply his trade. He won't change and whoever manages him must handle and understand him. If he signs, I'd say it's one of the best deal ever considering Sunderland willing to part £12m for Borini!

Risky? You bet. Worth it? Time will tell. It's a bet I'm willing to take if I'm BR.

Highly doubt it. Does anyone know anything about this kid? He has really high potential in FM14 is all I can tell you. tongue.gif

I heard about him few days ago .. he seem okayish. We're also linked with Fulham's 17 year old forward Patrick Roberts. Felix Magath has confirmed our interest is genuine. He looks very skillful and rumored to be a boyhood LFC fan.

Have to say I wasn't too impressed when I heard us being linked with this kid. But wow can he weave his way through tight spaces. But for 15m pounds? I'm not sure that's a risk we are willing to take and afford.

Yeah agreed. On the Fulham board there seems to be some murmurs that we are offering a similar deal like we did with Origi .. some cash and loan him back to grow with Fulham. I think he will certainly develop better at Fulham as they actually use him as a sub quite regularly.

Mino Raiola - Superstar agent of Zlatan, Balotelli, Pogba and others.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mino_Raiola

Zlatan - Ajax to Juve to Inter to Barca to Milan to PSG in 10 years

Balotelli - Inter to City to Milan to Liverpool in 4 years

Pogba - Openly flirting with interests from PSG, United, City and Chelsea since Pogba made the move from United

This man is someone we should be wary of...

100k a week 3rd/4th choice striker? Will Lambert even get any games now?

On the bright side though, he can be a mentor to Mario. At the moment only Coutinho speaks Italian assuming Borini is on his way out. Balo needs some friends.

On Friday July 18th Liverpool publicly confirmed that they had accepted an offer from Sunderland for Fabio Borini. The British press were told that the transfer would be worth £14m and that Sunderland needed to agree terms with the 23 year old Italian.

However, some of the Italian media said from the off that a deal wouldn't happen. TMW are one of several Italian outlets who speak to Borini's agent and they said that the player hadn't even been contacted by Liverpool prior to them making the bid public and that he didn't accept the scenario being laid out for him.

Liverpool's tactic to make the bid, and that they'd accepted it, public looked like a move to put pressure on Borini to leave Anfield permanently but he wasn't keen on the move and decided not to bend to the wishes of others.

The imminent arrival of Mario Balotelli is another huge hint to Borini that he has no real Liverpool future and Calciomercato have spoken to the Italian's agent to see if they can get any update about interest from Italian clubs and Sunderland. Calciomercato say that AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli are interested in Borini, his agent Marco De Marchi told them "Borini for now remains in Liverpool."

De Marchi was asked if Borini had completely ruled out a Sunderland transfer and he didn't kill that rumour dead, by saying "As for Sunderland I have no idea...."

by signing Eto'o i think the move is to force Borini to take the Sunderland offer. (i hope)

Next season Origi comes back. We'll have Sturridge, Balo, Origi & Lambert
