Yesterday I was planning to buy bass strings for my bass guitar, then when I got to the shop I was shocked by the price, RM99 for a set? Is this a normal price? Is there anyway I can get it in a cheaper price?

Also, there's a Fender bass amp, priced less than RM400, it's big and basic, with no extra function, should I buy it? I'm a hobbyist which seldom touch the bass btw.

Too bad I don't have any. Anyhow, is that a normal price for the strings?

Where can I get the cheaper ones around KL, or it's better to buy the expensive ones?

buy decent ones...

not too cheap that the brand is dodgy looking

because thick strings "DO" snap too lol

I bought mine for RM100 2 set~

daddario exl165tp

so far so good didn't rust for RM50

had a feeling it will snap though

i'd jump to elixir bass strings if possible for cheap lasting string but I play too often and the coating just tears so I continued with daddario

Unless there was a typo error, I think it is cheap.

Same with me. I bought in 2009, the G string already broken, and the rest are rusty. Did you buy a bass amp for it? What brand and how much does it cost if you did?

Last time I also used my laptop to play bass, but there's a bit of delay. Is there any delay for guitar rig?

delays are common if you don't have a proper soundcard or digital audio interface.

not too sure what to recommend but the last time I was using digidesign 003 (studio equipment)
I know another audio interface would be Focusrite Saffire 6 USB but it costs RM890 (might as well just buy a proper bass amp) (unless you do more in studio recording)

now I'm just using direct in onboard soundcard for my bass plays because there's no latency in recording. (only on clean direct in... if add effects instant delay)
