This year alone, I bought Samsung Galaxy Mega, Samsung Note 3 and HTC M8 from Satu Gadget I have also brought numerous friends to buy numerous other devices from Satu Gadget. I have been a loyal customer for a quite some time.

I went to their place today to buy One plus One. I was treated very rudely and inappropriately by their staff Sofia May and my receipt number is 00124948. The sim card remover case was torn and she did not want to change it quoting "I have already registered your IMEI and I cant change" I didn't mind and I still took the device. But the way she said it and shouted at me in front of other customers made me feel really bad!

They were very polite and friendly in the beginning but as the number of customers went up, their attitude became worse as well.

I will not got to their shop ever again and it may not be a loss to such a big company like Satu Gadget. But if they are going to continue doing this I doubt that I will be the only one going to Directd!

You shouldn't have paid them and walk off to teach them a lesson. Actually they can just replace something small like that.

me too , i also have bad experienced with their staff..before they open the shop , i already start buying direct from the owner , the owner was very friendly.. bt the staff.. no comment..

my fren is a dealer, he told me that satu gadget and directd under same boss....

I never buy from them, yes their price maybe cheap a bit but you will never have the chance to try before buy.

I rather go other shop which can let us test gao gao with better sales attitude etc

I bought my Samsung s tab 8.4 from them. Went home and noticed that the volume button is jam. Brought back to them and without question, they exchange a new one for me. When Samsung e-sms me, it was also the new tab that was registered. Quite happy with them.

Maybe depends on which sales rep you were attended to.

So good service? Exchange one to one? I would have thought after you've bought it, all future issues shall be directed at Samsung Service Center.

Actually most of the time when I went to buy phones/tablets from these shop, top priority is pricing. Service would come last. You sort of knowing what to expect.

Therefore I never bother to check as long as it powered up, then I paid and left. So I never had much trouble with them. Which also lead to the next question... which is why I buy original set and deal with the SC directly. Save the headache.

least expect customer service at this type of shop

when crowded they will be no one entertain you
as others came just want to pay & go
cash is always the king
due to their low pricing among the shop

if you want to settle go during their off peak hour
then their service are good

Don't even think about Directd when come to service, the store always customer more than sales person working there.

How you assume them treat you politely and patient? But if found faulty on the spot, they should really replace it for you.

Don't expect the cheap price you pay, you will have good quality service. I bought my Lenovo K900 from there before and I tried politely ask the staff but what I get is poor treatment; the staff answered me rudely. From that day on, I will only pay the price that is worth for, regardless how high it is.

I have purchase several times at both SatuGadget and DirectD shops. Both are usually busy with lots of customers
Do not expect first class smiling services from them. Their business is so good that they are not too willing to entertain much questions. These shops only for those who knows their stuffs - you just go and pay, take your phone and leave. However both shops always allow me to test the phones before paying for it. I have also purchased from them several times through poslaju and delivery always made the same day payment was made - no complains on this
I have yet to encounter any rude behaviour from their stuffs
TS experience is bad and he has every right to be unhappy

Well it's pretty much accepted that we should try phones elsewhere then go buy the phones directly at Satu Gadget or DirectD.

BTW, your shop offer very good service for its price?

Have to agree with the bolded part.
Even during the less peak hours the staffs don't really explain the "detail" about the devices.

But I disagree with the "you only get the service according to the value of the device that you purchase" opinion. For me doesn't matter whether you're buying RM200 phone or RM2000 phone, you are entitled for a decent service. If you don't feel like the employee is explaining the device well you perhaps you should bring a friend who is well versed with this sort of stuff to check for you. Take your time & check every single thing. Some employee like to rush for the payment. Happened to me when I bought M8 last month in SGDC. I gave the guy my best "f*** you" face & continued to check the price.

In addition to that, i have also been treated inappropriately once, i have confirmed and ask them to take the phone that i wanted to buy,and i didnt expected that they gave me sort of like a "refurbished" set which the back of the phone is quite dirty from an unsealed box.Luckily i was alert enough to check the IMEI number and it didnt match the one on the box.Then i alerted them and fortunately,they gave me another set that is new and sealed,this time the IMEI number matches the one in the box. Also, the attitude of some staffs is quite rude and harsh prior to the replies of customers.Despite being treated badly, i still bought a few diff phones from them but now i felt better buying from directd,at least they still managed to treat me well even in a jam packed situation.

That's why they keep act rudely because we buy stuff from them. We should teach them by boycott their business as we seen today event. I never buy from any of them because I'm living far from their shop but that's the point that applicable for all the consumer thing. The power to change is at our hand.

I had to disagree on this. Even if you are well verse, it's still a bit hard to explain ie. How a quad core is faster than an octa core. You either get it or you don't. Even benchmark can't explain every bits.

Furthermore it's not the price, it's the margin that matters. Much like supermarket vs hypermarket. You only need to ask and the staff will either lead you to the shelves or even help to carry to the payment counter. In hypermarket, please push your own trolley, and load everything by yourself. I really don't see why it's a problem.

satu gadget /directd is only suitable for people who knows the phone that they want.just cash and carry.no further questions ask.

Sikit Sikit black list many food place and shops if not treated properly. End up the one that suffer is him. Limited choice.

One day if DirectD also shout at u how? No need buy phone anymore.

I also dun agree to be rude. Customer must always be treated with patience. But for the case of DirectD and Satu gadget, their business so full. Hard to have the patience to layan fussy customers also. Like Benny said, usually I visit them I also go in n out within 10 mins. Check pay and leave.

To get a win win situation, suggest u go to Samsung or apple store test. U will be treated very politely and well. Then buy online from DirectD or Satu gadget. ☺

I agree with you, I do know my stuff and didnt really ask much but she did not even allow me to test the device quoting that ït would be considered unsealed!!! Maybe you are the lucky few hehehe. Anyways I doubt it will last longer as the better their business is, the worse their service become.

I completely agree with you. I for one, shall never buy from their shop ever again. I will also dissuade anyone from my network to go there ever again. It may not be much but I think it serves them right and as long as they are going to continue this, I'm pretty sure I will not be the last one.

I'm afraid i disagree, there's no such business plan based no further questions asked. If anything, it just leads to a downfall. In any case, I was not chit chatting with them and I personally don't prefer that as well. I am very straight to the point. I will be going somewhere but please do not condone their actions as statements such as this allow businesses such as theirs to trample on our fundamental rights as consumers.

It is true.If I recall, that time they was selling one x for 1.3k back in 2013 which sounds like a good deal to me then I gave it a shot and ended up almost like they wanted to con me but I have some experience of purchasing phones so I checked thoroughly like the Imei code so on and forth.

It's idiots like u which cause service level to go down.

I buy from nice shops with properly trained staff. All these are investment to make customer experience better, and it is much appreciated.

Of course, I'm not a gadget nerd who changes phone every 2 or 3 months.

Well i'm not a person who like blowing my own trumphet. My successful trade list speaks for itself... smile.gif To me, is hard to get awesome price with meticulous service or attitude. The world is fair, like yin and yang. You pay less, pls dont expect 5 star service. You pay higher, you can demand more...rule of thumb of getting phone.

Btw, just my theory. dont like it, dont flame me yea.... icon_rolleyes.gif

Like I said, we are consumer and we have right to spend hard learned money. Maybe not for me but what happen to those low salary people who want something expensive for their need? Been shout for asking info about what they want to buy is not right bro. You want their money but you act like gangster? Please..

Are you being serious. Let me clarify in case you are being delusional. I did not expect to be treated like a king but I do possess a fair amount of self respect and dignity n do not tolerate anyone tarnishing that. You may be foolish enough to harbour such thoughts but basic service is a necessity not a luxury. If you read my post, I have bought several devices and I never complained but shouting at you in front of a customer is a different level all together. You may put them on a pedestal but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find another similarly priced shop with decent service (which is a necessity).

Guys, today I received a message from the owner of Satu Gadget. He profusely apologized and regrets the incident very much. Furthermore, he requested me to drop by to get the cover changed anytime I wish. I was quite impressed by his detailed message explaining how much he regrets this.

Thank you guys for all your comments and I believe that no matter how big a business is, they are nothing without the customers.

the prices I see are not that much different from other shops
mayb around rm50 to rm80

can sit down and test until I like
sometimes my aim was to buy Samsung but play play around other phones

Bro, are you insinuating that if something is sold cheap then we must be prepared for substandard service? As i mentioned before, I have purchased several devices from them but their service was pretty decent in the past. It's only recently after their shop became really popular and in demand.

It's only due to such mentality, they provide substandard service. Thankfully the owner does not have similar mentality and apologized promptly which shows that he still cares. I do not want to comment about your preference but I shall demand proper service no matter where I go and I know how to get it as well. Customers with similar mentality such as mine will always pave the way for proper service for others and I am satisfied with that.

all this while i get my gadgets from seven mobile. no problem so far. price wise on par with directd n satu gadget.

their shop not so pack. can slowly sit down n test until satisfied.

When I say demand proper service, this is exactly what I meant. If I did give you the impression that demanding proper service is by shouting there in front many customers like an illiterate barbarian, do pardon me. When I said I will demand for proper service, coming here and ranting is exactly what I meant. You have your way and I have my own way to demand what is "RIGHTFULLY" a necessity. As you are aware, I got what I wanted and together with it a promise from the owner that the staff will be trained again. Now that particular staff will not be rude again in the future and I am glad that I am the reason for many properly treated customers in the future. Now what I don't understand is WHY ARE YOU SO SOUR about this?!

Further to your comments, damage control or not, it is his duty and he duly did what any proper owner would do. Can you please explain "peanuts"? Just so that we are clear, I paid RM2600.00 to purchase HTC One (M8) when it came out. At that point it wasn't even launched in Malaysia yet and I was fully aware that the price will be much cheaper once its officially out. I did not expect anything extraordinary back then and neither did I when I bought Note 3 for a cheaper price than RRP. I only expect and demand what is "RIGHTFULLY" a necessity!

Once again I reiterate that it's your choice what you expect when you buy something from a shop. Be it for peanuts or gold. But I won't tolerate such things and as @cicaques said, you don't have to expect shitty service if the price is cheap. He is selling cheap but still making profit out of it. We are paying our money and not getting it for free. A decent and mutually respecting attitude is the least you could expect.

This would be my last reply to your pessimistic and negative comments as I can't afford you the luxury of my valuable time. I rather update my blogs. I hope you do not construe anything that i said as a personal remark but what you said about me was personal. I am being dignified because that was how I was brought up and if you want to throw mud at me again, I shall deem that people like you do not deserve dignity and will no longer be holding back.
