Do take note if you're buying the xbox 360 hard drive for the fat or slim model because the hard drive is non-compatible between the fat and slim xbox 360 models!

Don't assume because sellers ain't gonna exchange for you if you buy wrong things. Take a look at this pic http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/ohF_cGEcB7k/maxresdefault.jpg and tell us which one look like your xbox 360. If it's the top one, that's the slim model. If below, that's the fat model. Then make sure you tell him you want the xbox 360 hard drive for which model and size to not buy the wrong things

You can also take a look around in garage sales under games section and see if anyone is willing to sell their hdd at used price or go lowyat and ask
