Just changed for my BMW 225/45/R18 P7 RFT to S1 Noble2... laugh.gif

Was considering PS4, Fleva, V12 Evo2...

But wanna try something more quiet & comfortable...I suppose most non-RFT will fit the bill...and PS4 the better performance match...

For now meets my expectations...will see how it goes after running in smile.gif

Why is this Noble2 isn't discussed more I wonder? It must be moving OK since mine's dated 0317...350/pc incl gst, alignment, camber.

After 1k km running in my 18" Noble2...so far very satisfied...no issue with spirited town driving

It may be a comfort tyre, but for 18" it's handling is still quite sharp...overall a very composed drive

Don't use Hankook Kinergy EX, you will regret. I just replaced all with Bridgestone Ecopia EP150, my problem resolved. It was a very bad tires, failed to disperse water on wet road even new.
*
The pattern already screams "slippery when wet" ... lol...

It's not very bad per se...just not designed to disperse water...

But yes I agree don't buy this...

I tried to call up to check s1 evo2 tire for size 235/55/18......(which I believe is the size for tiguan).....most hankook shops doesn't even know about this tire.

too bad......I would not havemind trying out the tire
*
Hankook Malaysia says no such size...only 235/55/R19...

just changed to kinergy 185/60/15 after my 5yr old toyo nanoenergy blowout sad.gif

1st impressions compared to old toyo... very noisy... much harder sidewalls... stiffer steering... much hotter running

Will run it in, trash it about and reported back... expecting worse mileage due to higher roling resistance

was gonna get back toyo but no stock

I have used both the Kinergy Ex and now the new Kinergy Eco2.
My car is quite light at the back so I often have skids on the rear tires on the Kinergy Ex but now with the Eco2 much better handling both wet and dry and rarely have skids.
*
drive sensibly and no skid ah... if kinergy so bad, lots of cars will end in the ditch already when raining since its factory fitted in lots of cars...

Like i mention, my car tail very light, drive sensibly in a corner with slow speed also will skid a bit. Mind you the tyres were new. I'm not saying the tyres are all round bad but just during wet conditions need be more careful with them. Since now KinergyEx discontinued and replaced with Eco2, they have improved alot. I think i may have over exaggerated the skid but it is more like i will lose grip a few seconds then the cars tsc will kick in then okay adi.
*
sorry bro...don't mean to imply your driving is not sensible.. my bad

yeah different car/suspensions/loading, different tyre size/pressure, etc...will contribute to skidding/drifting... the eco2 does look better than the ex, and thanks for your confirmation

after alignment...there was a minor pull/drift to the left...swapping the fronts left to right fixed the problem... this apparently also fixed the stiffer steering... lol

have been driving it hard in dry and wet these few days... the tyre has settled down quite a bit... took some corners hard and managed to slide it a bit in dry and wet... better handling and feedback than the toyo ne03, but a bit noisier... I now prefer this eco2 to the ne03... as new, there's nothing remarkable but also nothing seriously bad... my new favorite cheap tyre... no idea about mileage yet, not my priority

Exacrly same as my experience...... Basically thrashed NE03 on every aspect except noise and rolling-resistance.

Having done 20k km on these Eco2, my own observation is they prefer slightly higher air pressure than NE03.... I found 250kPa to be the best balance between comfort and handlind/grip, whereas NE03 will be rock hard at 250kPa and I used to pump it to 230-240kPa. My tyre size is 185/65R14.
*
thanks...my ne03 I pump to 250kpa biggrin.gif...but eco2 will have to test it out

different car/weight/tyre size/age...driving style/etc influence pressure to use...for 14/15” rims 250kpa is a good starting point to fine tune
