QUOTE(Freddy933 @ Aug 27 2014, 09:53 AM) I think most brand have few series of tires for different purpose. Find the one suitable for your driving requirement. Cheap series last longer but poor on wet road perhaps. More expensive last shorter unfortunately. I tried many brands, but choose the good performance for both wet and dry... and usually but whichever on sales This post has been edited by Zot: Aug 27 2014, 10:05 AM |

QUOTE(Freddy933 @ Aug 27 2014, 09:53 AM) my previous tyre was V12 directional, noisy after some uneven wear i would say superb in dry and wet grip as well as cornering (sidewall hard enough to me) conclusion: super value for money if you are looking for performance tyre and dun bother the noise. |

QUOTE(Freddy933 @ Aug 27 2014, 12:19 PM) Yes Ventus ... because of the angle of thread pattern is narrow to moving direction, it is relatively quiet. Wide groove in the middle also helps to disperse water. I'm using it on my Viva (yes only Viva) and I drive with confidence during heavy rain. The car "glide" straight forward in case of aqua planning when water is quite deep. The shop say tyre is quiet. That is what salesman always say It was on sales fro rm300 each that day |

I have used Hankook S1 Evo 205/40/17.. Superb performance tyres as it was Hankook's flagship tyres then..
Then I used Hankook V12 Evo 205/40/17, 195/55/15 and 195/50/15.. S1 Evo is better than V12 Evo... V12 Evo is good as well for it's price.. |

Last time I use V12 Evo(k110), 205/40/17. I found the grip is acceptable and handling too. Only one thing was, the sidewall was too soft...
Not sure about the V12 Evo2(K120) though... |

But there are also tires with low tread wear (<300) but traction rating also only A, so I suppose the AA/500 can happen as well, but maybe still not as much grip as those with AA/300. |

Well I never really brake hard much plus its on the back wheels. I cant comment much. For me 195 profile is anytime better than 185. Which was significant when I upgraded. New tires need some time to be conditioned, maybe it will get better a bit.

I'm not sure about 15-inch but believe or not, is not the matter of tire size, the thread design not well perform in raining season. Mine was manufactured 2015, Made in Indonesia.

So far it helps to stabilize my big car with skinny tires. Again it rained alot during CNY, but I didnt slam the brakes. So far so good. |

This Hankook, I'm not sure.i wanted a quiet tyre and the shop recommended me this...my previous michelin xm2 came with the car when i bought it (2nd hand) 6 mts back but it was really noisy and was driving me crazy...checked the date it was manufactured in 2013 so the shop man told me it could have hardened hence generate noise..anyway i dont know hw long my car was sitting in the hot sun at the used car.. but surprisingly after changing to hankook i feel there is not much difference in noise generated by the tyre sound just a little less....or is it just me ?? anyway my ride is a vios 2011 g limited spec...maybe poor sound insulation ?? Yeah I suspect poor insulation of the car. Anyway don't rely on me about tire noise as I listen to loud music in the car and noise is never a selection criteria for me in choosing tires! |

So far I got few owner all having same experience as mine.
I check with tires shop before, they said that caused by pattern, it cant disperse the water efficiently when wet handling Previous so call lousy "Goodyear Eagle NCT5" far more better than it...used until botak still wont like that. So scary like snake swing left and right even low speed during wet road. |

Never buy Hankook anymore. Jan 2016, two days after I changed my front Hankok tires ( all 4 are Hankook), was taking turn at Jalan Istana to KL Sentral doing about 60km/h the car lost control lucky beside didn't have any car. Took back to tire shop they say my tires are fine.

Just changed for my BMW 225/45/R18 P7 RFT to S1 Noble2...
Was considering PS4, Fleva, V12 Evo2... But wanna try something more quiet & comfortable...I suppose most non-RFT will fit the bill...and PS4 the better performance match... For now meets my expectations...will see how it goes after running in Why is this Noble2 isn't discussed more I wonder? It must be moving OK since mine's dated 0317...350/pc incl gst, alignment, camber. This post has been edited by dwRK: May 3 2017, 11:52 PM |

Is HANKOOK tyres consider cheap and low grade?
The newly launch VW TIGUAN fitted with Hankook Ventus s1 evo2 SUV and also the newly launch BMW 740Le fitted with Hankook Ventus s1 evo2 RFT. Never use this brand before and wonder should I swap the tyre right away when I collect the car. |

hankook is not a low grade tyres. s1 evo2 is the top spec tyres of hankook which compete with ps3, csc5, goodyear asy3.

After 1k km running in my 18" Noble2...so far very satisfied...no issue with spirited town driving
It may be a comfort tyre, but for 18" it's handling is still quite sharp...overall a very composed drive |

QUOTE(vinnyming @ Sep 12 2019, 08:45 AM) Honestly its not as bad as people say it is. Decent performance for especially if you can find it cheap. Better than Goodyear and Silverstone. I used them and they were fine. I'd say even better than my previous Continental CC5. Better resistance to aquaplaning than the CC5. I mean the CC5 was absolute garbage compared to Kinergy EX.People who say they are bad never experienced even worst tyres like those weird brands from China, Thailand tyres. To name a few, Deestone, Westlake, Linglong, Farroad, Saferich, Joyroad and all of the other crap brands. |

To name a few, Deestone, Westlake, Linglong, Farroad, Saferich, Joyroad and all of the other crap brands. |

QUOTE(Professor Factass @ Sep 15 2019, 03:19 PM) Honestly its not as bad as people say it is. Decent performance for especially if you can find it cheap. Better than Goodyear and Silverstone. I used them and they were fine. I'd say even better than my previous Continental CC5. Better resistance to aquaplaning than the CC5. I mean the CC5 was absolute garbage compared to Kinergy EX. People who say they are bad never experienced even worst tyres like those weird brands from China, Thailand tyres. Continental CC series has always been absolute crap tires. |

QUOTE(cucubud @ Sep 17 2019, 10:38 AM) Sorry to bring this old post up. They are quite good. Not a bad as most people say they are. Honestly better than Conti CC series and XM2 which costs more and do not perform as good. After 2.5 years on the Hankook Kinergy tyres, what is your verdict? Good? No good? |

extreme opposite reviews spotted...
conclusion, those using hankook kinergy: (A) skidded on wet: because drive fast and corners like f1 racer. (B) never skid on wet and praised: because drive too slow like turtle with 20km/h cornering speed. I almost changed to this hankook kinergy when tyre shop told me goodyear triplemax 2 no more stock after they dismantled my old tyres from rims. after consideration i took toyo ne03 coz saw very huge difference opinions. But yes, waiting for your feedback. |

I was one of those that were quite happy with them. Surprised as I have read many here that condemn these tyres. A few said they have skidded and so forth but I have never experienced it. Maybe that are bad drivers or have terribly maintained vehicles. just changed to kinergy 185/60/15 after my 5yr old toyo nanoenergy blowout
1st impressions compared to old toyo... very noisy... much harder sidewalls... stiffer steering... much hotter running Will run it in, trash it about and reported back... expecting worse mileage due to higher roling resistance was gonna get back toyo but no stock |

I have used both the Kinergy Ex and now the new Kinergy Eco2.
My car is quite light at the back so I often have skids on the rear tires on the Kinergy Ex but now with the Eco2 much better handling both wet and dry and rarely have skids. |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Sep 8 2020, 09:27 AM) you probably got new shoes already....just to say I like this very very much... posted feedback earlier in this thread... Thanks for the feedback. running 225/45/18... want to get back the same but shop says no more selling... I haven't gotten my new shoes as my stock tires surprisingly held up quite well up to this day, always thought it would run out quite fast but looks like it can still take a couple of thousand miles more. |

Like i mention, my car tail very light, drive sensibly in a corner with slow speed also will skid a bit. Mind you the tyres were new. I'm not saying the tyres are all round bad but just during wet conditions need be more careful with them. Since now KinergyEx discontinued and replaced with Eco2, they have improved alot. I think i may have over exaggerated the skid but it is more like i will lose grip a few seconds then the cars esc will kick in then okay adi. This post has been edited by conman124: Sep 8 2020, 10:53 AM |

Basically thrashed NE03 on every aspect except noise and rolling-resistance. have been driving it hard in dry and wet these few days... the tyre has settled down quite a bit... took some corners hard and managed to slide it a bit in dry and wet... better handling and feedback than the toyo ne03, but a bit noisier... I found 250kPa to be the best balance between comfort and handlind/grip, whereas NE03 will be rock hard at 250kPa and I used to pump it to 230-240kPa. My tyre size is 185/65R14. |
