QUOTE(Chyan @ Aug 16 2014, 02:55 PM) Hey guys. If you haven't updated the radio files for your China OPO. You'd better do so. It is recommended. ShaneThong You might wanna flash this if your issue still persists. I have the zip file here by Calkulin@XDA, ripped from the latest 30O AUG11 update. I've compared the 25r NON-HLOS.bin and there's 0.1MB difference. Not that it's anything of concern. It is faster to zip it than to use fastboot right? Albeit, you've flashed everything and do not want to lose all your stuff doing the fastboot method. That is all. Your calls should be loud and clear + fixed of dropped calls. 1. Download 30O Radio File zip2. Flash using your preferred custom recovery 3. Wipe cache/dalvik 4. Reboot 5. Win Admin could pin this up for convenience. mydragoonhi, should i still do this on my chinese OPO even if i'm already on 30O? i love this phone but the weak reception is causing me a lot of missed calls

QUOTE(bestsane @ Aug 16 2014, 09:50 PM) Geez, I think the answer I seek is not on the first page. Geez, I will rephrase my question: Once I get my hands on the phone with Cyanogenmod 11 on it (sold by DirectD), can I update from Cyanogenmod 11 to CyanogenMod 11S using on-the-air updating? GEEZ, I ADVISE YOU DON'T BE SPOONFED EITHER. I AM REITERATING TO YOU THAT I HAVE SAID IN MY POSTS THAT I HAVE CONTACTED DIRECTD PERSONALLY AND THEY TOLD ME EACH AND EVERY FRICKING ONEPLUS ONE SOLD BY THEM HAS CYANOGENMOD 11 (I REPEAT, IT'S NOT A TYPO) INSTEAD OF 11S. AND THAT WAS YESTERDAY!!!!! GEEZ WHAT HAVE BECOME OF MALAYSIANS. chill, dude. reposting/shouting will not get your question answered. i dont have the exact answer to your question, but the OPO my gf got from DirectD did have CM11 installed, not CM11S. CM11 has all those chinese apps (weibo, etc). flashed it to CM11S right away so wouldnt know if it would've received the OTA update. even if you dont get the OTA, it's very easy to flash CM11S on the OPO. hope that helps.

QUOTE(asyrafrahim88 @ Aug 16 2014, 10:05 PM) The cm folder right? Tried that and it gives me e: unable to verify whole file signature. Do I need to tick or untick any developer option? had the same error when i tried to flash the update. as i dont have the patience, i ended up returning it to stock using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-on...-stock-t2826541just download the files and click on the batch files. that easy. but yeah, this probably should be your last resort

QUOTE(bestsane @ Aug 16 2014, 10:37 PM) Thanks dude. I wasn't shouting hehe. Well, if it is very easy to flash to CM11S then I'm convinced that I can do it too. It's just that I'm concerned if flashing by ourselves might void the warranty. official word from OnePlus is that flashing a custom rom should not void the warranty. not sure if satugadget/directd and other sellers will honor that though. i'm positive though the experts here will be able to help with going back to stock rom that originally came with the unit.

QUOTE(Chyan @ Aug 17 2014, 12:44 AM) Yes. Definitely should. Flashing the baseband won't mess with your data at all. I'm assuming DD or any other ColorOS to CM11s flasher didn't do the extra steps. Inform here it it fixes your issue. was feeling foolishly brave so i flashed it even before i read your reply. went smoothly but i'm not sure if anything's improved. will check further when i get to our office and post an update. thanks!

QUOTE(lowyard @ Aug 17 2014, 11:05 PM) Hey, you're not alone. We're both pretty much sKrewd in this case (hehe sorry I just can't help it). I'm using celcom. And when I put my sim on other phones, it'll always get at least 3G or H. But with OPO, it'll always be Edge. I'll only get 3G or H if I'm outside of my house. But even when I drive around KL, my OPO seems to prefer Edge even when I've selected LTE in the network settings. And yes, I've tried all the suggested fixes I could find in here, xda and OPO forum. I'm not too sure how long I can live like this. I haven't tried other telco, coz all my family is using celcom. me too, mate. i have checked and searched everyday all over the net, trying out new "fixes" to no avail. tried the modem fix, flashed PA, still nothing. my gf with her 64gb OPO (also on maxis) doesnt seem to have this issue. i've yet to try another network as well. thing is, i didnt have this issue with my lowly moto g.

QUOTE(lowyard @ Aug 18 2014, 12:47 AM) Both unit china version? I tried searching your previous post but you didn't mention. In your case, since both of you are using maxis, with the same phone (I assume both OPO is china version), have you looked at the sim card? 1. What are the similarities or differences between the two sim? 2. And how about you try to put your own sim in her OPO? If let's say when you put in your sim in her phone and the problem appears, then maybe you need to change your sim with the same type as hers. (I mean in terms of 64k or 128k chip, if it does make a difference). This theory would prove to be more plausible if you insert her sim in your OPO, and the problem disappears. yes, both are china units. i kinda ruled the sim thing out because we both replaced our sim cards with the same (afaik, we replaced them from the same branch at the same time) maxis 4g sim cards a week after getting the phones. i'll try your second suggestion later and post an update.
