hi all. i managed to root and installed by this method:

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jul 16 2014, 05:05 PM)
---> Rooting & Installing TWRP Recovery by IB Times:
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/how-root-oneplus-...ecovery-1450708

*
then i flashed my device to CM version 11.0-XNPH25R by using this method:

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jul 16 2014, 05:05 PM)
---> Changing from ColorOS to CM11S (Method #2):
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/jumping-...to-cm11s.36408/
*
but now im having problem with my mobile network, im using celcom with LTE enable, but the device wont lock to celcom, not even on 3G. prior to flashing, i was on CM version 11.0-XNPH22R. the mobile network was good at that point of time.

what should i do now?

re-flash?

ohh since this phone is quite new. i dont mind reflashing back.

can u give me the step by step of this method:

CODE
EDIT: Here is easier guide to jump from ColorOS to CM11S
1. Download first ROM from https://cyngn.com/products/oneplusone/
2. Reboot phone to recovery (power on + volume down together) choose update , choose new ROM , install , reboot , again in recovery , flush data, flush all , reboot and voilà. No PC needed, 5 min work. Thanks to @iamxray

since i already rooted and installed TWRP recovery, i already dont need to re-do that step.

now, this is what i am confused, i saved the cm-11.0XNPH25Rxxxxxx.zip in the device. then? what should i do? unzip it in the device?

No one is "pro" in this. All start from the beginning, so don't say/tell yourself that  smile.gif

TWRP recovery. From there, you tap install zip > navigate to where you put the .zip file > select the zip file and install.

You don't need to do that. You can do that after also can.

Enter recovery: turn/power off the phone. Hold volume down + power. Then same as my previous post ( select "install zip from sdcard > ......)
*
QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jul 31 2014, 11:19 AM)
better to do that... else you may lose TWRP and end up with original recovery. then have to flash TWRP again.

so... yes, untick that. then shut down phone. then bott into recovery/TWRP by using the button combo you mentioned just now.

note: there's a difference between button up and button down ya? both gives you different results.
*
ok, power off. then hold vol down + power.

device goes to simple recovery, instead of TWRP recovery. cry.gif

Hi, i have use this way to root my phone.

now i wanna use this method to increase my speaker volume.
still have this error : This operation requires elevated permissions. Try changing to Root Access mode.

How? * I saw SuperSU in my apps so my phone is rooted already.

--

Use root browser. (es file explorer fails even I do 10 times)
Go to

/system/etc/mixer_paths.xml

Line 571

Code:
[bad html removed] Analog output devices -->
<path name="ear">
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="84">

84 change to 95-100
Win so loud now.
***need root access.
*
i did this last night and had a nightmare. the phone wont stop giving an error: "Unfortunately, AudioFX had stopped working"

i tried everything, but ended up wiping all my partition and installing back a new CM11s OS. lucky for me, i had backup all my data using Titanium BackUp Pro and Google. Restored the phone to its previous settings..

whewwww

Bro.. not set to "95-100", is set to any numbers within this range. And it is not about your speaker volume, is ur call volume, when you are on the phone, you will hear the other party clearer.

I have set mine to 95, too loud, my ears can't bear it, so I set to 90, works fine  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

did u edit the string directly on the phone?

> edited the xml using notepad

> rebooted the device
