About the SIRIM e-permit thing (unlucky me sad.gif ), from my understand the documents needed are :

1. Copy of IC (front & back)
2. Airway & Commercial Invoice from the courier.
3. Brochure & Product specifications.
4. OnePlus Invoice.

For the bolded, no. 4 do we really need to forward this document as well? Because since i'm using forwarding service (ComGateway) with their US address instead of my real Malaysia address, I thought the invoice will make things more confusing. icon_question.gif

Not to mention in my case the billing address is not mine because the payment was made using my friend's paypal since I don't have one.

Any document to show you have purchased the phone is good enough. Such will always have a price indication. Example email confirmation of order. Anyway there is no tax n duty on phone . Pricing of it is unimportant.
I only bring my IC, courier detail n print out of phone specs from the web.

So commercial invoice should be enough? Since it already have my details with price indication of the phone. Anyway thanks for the reply. This is my first time importing something from overseas.

OnePlus Invoice. Your Fedex/DHL have it. Or you can download from your ComGateway.

Now i'm slightly confused, there are four things I received from DHL.

1. DHL Express arrival notice. I guess this is the infamous RM 162 letter. It stated: "Kindly confirm your instructions for DHL to clear the shipment and make payment on behalf of your company by endorsing this indemnity letter and return it to us by fax or email." No thanks, I think i'll handle it myself. Not just saving cost but I might learn something new.

2. DHL Airway Bill.

3. ComGateway commercial invoice & packing slip.

4. A form from: B.P. PEN. KANAN PENGARAH KASTAM
KOMPLEX CARGO LTSAAS
SUBANG, SELANGOR D.E.
which contains the consignor, consignee and value of the package.

To be honest I'm not sure what I supposed to do with document no. 4. Also which documents should I bring to SIRIM HQ along with RM 100?

Thanks vin, benny and everybody for guiding me. I've prepared all the necessary documents. Can't wait for this Monday.

Logistically this is a nightmare. Also can't remember the last time that I spent so much money in one go for something that's not really essential. But it's hard to giving up something you love. Plus this smartphone is not for me, but for my younger brother. As long as he's happy, I feel I have done my part.

Done my SIRIM e-permit walk-in this afternoon, but still haven't received mine via email. Also seems like all SIRIM-related websites are down at the moment. This is quite unsettling.

Received my OPO this afternoon. Overall it was a good learning experience, also hopefully I won't be needing the warranty.
