Hey guys.
If you haven't updated the radio files for your China OPO. You'd better do so. It is recommended. ShaneThong You might wanna flash this if your issue still persists. I have the zip file here by Calkulin@XDA, ripped from the latest 30O AUG11 update. I've compared the 25r NON-HLOS.bin and there's 0.1MB difference. Not that it's anything of concern. It is faster to zip it than to use fastboot right? Albeit, you've flashed everything and do not want to lose all your stuff doing the fastboot method. That is all. Your calls should be loud and clear + fixed of dropped calls. 1. Download 30O Radio File zip 2. Flash using your preferred custom recovery 3. Wipe cache/dalvik 4. Reboot 5. Win Admin could pin this up for convenience. mydragoon This post has been edited by Chyan: Aug 16 2014, 04:14 PM |

QUOTE(facktura @ Aug 16 2014, 03:18 PM) Received OTA this morning. Previously i encountered self shut down of my device even when it reached only 9 percent of battery. 2nd time 14% it shut down and no i couldnt start the phone until i plugged in the power socket. Anyone had the same? Pretty worrying after 2 episodes already. Are you rooted? Everything is stock?QUOTE(Darkcloudz @ Aug 16 2014, 03:48 PM) Cancel update for now. Seems like your OTA file isn't downloaded properly. Try to press all buttons simultaneously and boot into the recovery then clear your cache. Reboot again. |

QUOTE(Haters_Gonna_H8 @ Aug 16 2014, 03:50 PM) dont know, once i upgraded, straight re-enabled nova launcher Not sure. Don't bother to check. waaaaa. ure very rajin finding these things. which line is missing? my network works fine. not like the previous stock radio rom for 4.4.2 maybe its down to ur preference. previously i did edited the mixer_path.xml to increase the volume. but with the new OTA, no need anymore. Yeah. I had the common problems of dropped calls when using LTE/3G. But it's all fixed with this plus as you've said the calls are now loud and clear. BTw how to tag usernames here? I never use this function. Lol. |

QUOTE(blurkia @ Aug 16 2014, 04:38 PM) You replace the tinkered mixer xml file with this unadulterated one. Man. Someone should make a huge warning on this mixer.xml (This eff things up) QUOTE(Darkcloudz @ Aug 16 2014, 04:40 PM) the earpiece volume definitely better than previous. n i realized there's little bluewish on my screen. QUOTE(sKrewd @ Aug 16 2014, 09:50 PM) hi, Yes. Definitely should. Flashing the baseband won't mess with your data at all. I'm assuming DD or any other ColorOS to CM11s flasher didn't do the extra steps. Inform here it it fixes your issue.should i still do this on my chinese OPO even if i'm already on 30O? i love this phone but the weak reception is causing me a lot of missed calls QUOTE(Coldf3ar @ Aug 16 2014, 11:52 PM) my 3g not stable. running CM11 nightly. can it be fix if i follow this guide? Check my post a few pages back today. It's an easy fix. http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-on...roblem-t2824139 By the way, DirectD (or any other 3rd party reseller) flashes CM11s on their OPO. Front page got this info right? No? This post has been edited by Chyan: Aug 17 2014, 12:53 AM |

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Aug 17 2014, 01:22 AM) Trying to install TWRP/CWM with fastboot, installed successfully I recommend you guys to use a GUI toolkit for these stuffs. Easier. Straight forward. No hassle. It downloads the file straight off the cmd commands. But the recovery is still CWM 3e Anything I'm missing here that prevents custom recovery from being flashed properly? |

QUOTE(sKrewd @ Aug 17 2014, 09:36 AM) was feeling foolishly brave so i flashed it even before i read your reply. went smoothly but i'm not sure if anything's improved. will check further when i get to our office and post an update. thanks! Do update. QUOTE(Coldf3ar @ Aug 17 2014, 09:58 AM) If ColorOS to CM11s could have a working but flawed radio I don't think it'll be a problem with CM11 nightly. It might improve it since CM11s and CM11 both share the same infrastructure. |

QUOTE(ShaneThong @ Aug 17 2014, 09:55 PM) I have upgraded my system to 11.0 - XNPH300.. Great. Did you flash the radio baseband from the 30O update? What telco are you using btw? I think my signal dropping issue has been fix!! Incoming calls and outgoing calls is allow with LTE QUOTE(sKrewd @ Aug 17 2014, 10:36 PM) Signal bar still goes out and Signal strength is still at 0dBm 99asu when i'm in the office. Service state is showing as "In Service" but I cant receive or make calls. QUOTE(lowyard @ Aug 17 2014, 11:05 PM) Mind to share which telco you're using? And your sim is 64k or 128k?thanks Hey, you're not alone. We're both pretty much sKrewd in this case (hehe sorry I just can't help it). I'm using celcom. And when I put my sim on other phones, it'll always get at least 3G or H. But with OPO, it'll always be Edge. I'll only get 3G or H if I'm outside of my house. But even when I drive around KL, my OPO seems to prefer Edge even when I've selected LTE in the network settings. And yes, I've tried all the suggested fixes I could find in here, xda and OPO forum. I'm not too sure how long I can live like this. I haven't tried other telco, coz all my family is using celcom. QUOTE(sKrewd @ Aug 17 2014, 11:48 PM) me too, mate. i have checked and searched everyday all over the net, trying out new "fixes" to no avail. tried the modem fix, flashed PA, still nothing. my gf with her 64gb OPO (also on maxis) doesnt seem to have this issue. i've yet to try another network as well. thing is, i didnt have this issue with my lowly moto g. QUOTE(DannyOP @ Aug 18 2014, 12:23 AM) QUOTE(lowyard @ Aug 18 2014, 12:47 AM) Both unit china version? I tried searching your previous post but you didn't mention. In your case, since both of you are using maxis, with the same phone (I assume both OPO is china version), have you looked at the sim card? 1. What are the similarities or differences between the two sim? 2. And how about you try to put your own sim in her OPO? If let's say when you put in your sim in her phone and the problem appears, then maybe you need to change your sim with the same type as hers. (I mean in terms of 64k or 128k chip, if it does make a difference). This theory would prove to be more plausible if you insert her sim in your OPO, and the problem disappears. I'm sorry if what I'm saying doesn't make any sense at all. Thanks for your suggestions. I'll keep in mind as a last resort options. =) If that's the case, I suggest you to just simply flash the whole ROM again. You still can access custom recovery right? Good luck. QUOTE(sKrewd @ Aug 18 2014, 01:13 AM) yes, both are china units. Ah. the radio baseband flashing didn't work for you guys? Peculiar. i kinda ruled the sim thing out because we both replaced our sim cards with the same (afaik, we replaced them from the same branch at the same time) maxis 4g sim cards a week after getting the phones. i'll try your second suggestion later and post an update. Lowyard's case seems like working but bad connectivity while sKrewd doesn't have a good line at all. As you've said, it's good to try out other people's sim card for now. I'm using Digi and calls and network are A OK after I flashed mine. It was just the dropped calls from LTE/3G mode that were the problem for me. |
