Trying to install TWRP/CWM with fastboot, installed successfully
But the recovery is still CWM 3e  hmm.gif
Anything I'm missing here that prevents custom recovery from being flashed properly?
*
Uncheck the "Update CM recovery" at Settings > Developers Settings.
Install via fastboot,
CODE
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Go recovery > flash franco kernel.

noob question, i wanna restore to factory setting after updated to 4.4.4 but how to make sure it wipes everyhting including pictures and music and all? i noticed i couldnt select "delete all pictures and music files" like previous android phone i have before?
*
Settings > Factory reset.
If you use custom recovery like TWRP > Wipe > factory reset or Wipe > advanced > tick all

LOL! Realized, thanks to Haters_Gonna_H8, better to do factory reset. Or if you just want to wipe the sdcard (music/photo/etc) then wipe > advanced > internal storage.

i've checked there is no "wipe internal storage" also to tick.
*
What version of TWRP are you using? afaik, latest (2.7.0.1) have it.
Btw, do wipe > format data

abang. internal storage is not the sd card.

Anyone facing issue rooting your 30O version?

I have problem when i try to boot to TWRP...

CODE

C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools>fastboot boot twrp.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [  0.393s]
booting...
FAILED (remote:         Device not unlocked cannot boot)
finished. total time: 0.402s

Read online, some quite a number of ppl facing the same issue where it is mentioned that the unsigned images... Do you have alternative way to root the device?

TQ
*
You cannot use
CODE
fastboot boot recovery.img
anymore after the update. Before that, you can still use this method.
Now the only method to root, you need to unlock bootloader and install custom recovery.

Just be patient. If you can't, then manual flash/sideload it.
