At least i found out that the roof is a true story after tested out a friends car during heavy rain.

Barely even hear the radio with 75% volume and this is a good car to ignore your wife or mother nagging.

+1

Your future MiL see Vios only she confirm + chop give her daughter to you.

If you have complaints about Vios, its obvious you are new here and do not know how to appreciate the elegance/quality of the Godly Vios

Hi, currently i get vios 2014
Just wonder the fuel consumption
With full tank of petrol, I just can walk around city +- 360km

With system at meter board showing, there was showing max. 11.7km/l

Izzit its meaning that Rm2.10 (petrol)/11.70km = Rm0.18/ km???

Its likes sooo expensive...

Izzit was normal or someelse can advise on these matter

Thank you

Get a mitsubishi attrage , 1.2 engine , can run lowest RM 0.16 per km at purely city driving.

If 80% highway , can get RM 0.14 per km , and purely highway can get RM 0.13 per km

maybe TS always drive heavy foot , and many passenger all the time. Could possibly be , if all the scenario fits.

hi.. good to see you running good in fuel..

Actually, I suspecting the rim and weight is causing the problem.
new vios come with bigger rim and the car size is bigger. But, same old engine. So, fc higher then old vios make sense right?

Well, not complaining since already saved a lot on the car compared to buying a focus or a civic, so use it on fuel lah..

Advice: Dont compare. You are not TS, you dont drive the car in his route.
You compare for what? This is exactly the kind of Fc comparison that keeps popping up and absolutely senseless. People has crazy idea just because the car are the same they automatically get the same FC. Well you DON'T.

Even if you swap your car, you will still be getting the same FC, because you travel in your routes during your hours. FAHAM?

traffic jams = engine consume fuel, but no distance. so it is like infinite FC

Engine will start to consume more fuel after idling for more than 30 seconds.

If you pump full tank which means, your true FC is 360km/40l = 9km/l (Vios full tank is 42l, assuming you don't refill when your tank is totally dry), not sure if you can really pump 40l ngam ngam because sometimes the fuel lever will disengage once you pumped till 33-35l. So, optimistically, true FC is about 10.58km/l

11.7km/l is just the average FC with mixtures of many trips. If few trips drive a lot highway, the meter calculation
will give you a false sense of fuel efficiency.

I also have the assumption that you have just got your brand new car, so not sure about the mileage of your car. It's probably too early to tell now whether your car is having a good FC or not. If you practise good driving habits, for example, having light a foot, smooth acceleration/cruising at constant speeds, the ECU in your car should learn from your habits and it should become more fuel efficient over time. Also, some other factors to take note such as the weight of your car, right amount of tire pressure, regular car maintenance and necessary oil changes.
