Hey guys/gals, I've been driving the Mazda 3 (ckd high-spec) around the past 3 days, with I-Stop on. Whenever I'm at traffic lights, the engine turns off like normal, but it will start back on again after like 10 seconds. My foot is still on the break pedal though, didn't move anything. Happens pretty often. I would expect it to stay off until I release my foot.

Is this normal?

I tested Mazda 3 Sedan high spec today... I saw the head up display ( the reflection speedometer) design very nice but I cant see clearly the reflection because of my height (178cm) which I assume not tall... Tried the adjust the sit to lowest but only can see half of the reflection... Anybody facing this? SA told me cant adjust the plastic reflector...

Appreciate any feedback on the Navigation feature. Is it as good as (if not better than) Google Maps/Waze?

a. I got average 9.1L/100km if highway can get lowest is 6.1L/100km but why you think I-Eloop can help you save fuel?

b. I pump RON95 can go 410-430km, RON95 can go 420-450km, V-POWER go 420-480km

c. No GPS software is accurate in this world for Malaysia.  biggrin.gif  But this one not so user friendly. So use Waze better  thumbup.gif

d. You can install software from Mazda website, take out the SD card and update. Cannot install others unless "another way"

e. Dependslah bro. No one reaches 60,000km yet. But expect normal service should be RM400-RM600 and no difference from Honda or Toyota..  hmm.gif

I can get 5.5l/100km cruising at 110kph.

Mixed city/hw 50/50 is around 7.5l/100km.

This car very good fc. Mine is only around 2000km, once break in more should improve abit.

QUOTE(Elvant @ May 25 2015, 12:54 PM)
Got my M3 HB for few weeks now. 1 of the interesting thing you will explore is the I-stop system. The I-stop system required 3 major condition in order to works (plus the wheels is in straight position), if any of the condition is not met, the I-stop will not engaged, or if the i-stop is activated, it will deactivate and the engine will start back. Those condition are engine temp, Battery and air cond. You may see the i-stop status at the application->Fuel monitoring, it will tells you whether the i-stop is ready. The 1st 2 conditions is easily met, after a few minutes drive, you engine temp will be up and ready, the battery will always ready, else you should change the batt. The problem comes to the 3rd condition, Air cond. This is what I read from the sources and my own experience, just take is as 2cents. When the i-stop engaged, the engine stop but your air cond will be still running. (on battery, i suppose) Depends on the fan speed and temp, when the fan is high and temp is low and i stop will be deactivate just seconds after it is engaged. what is the actual numbers I do not know . In most condition, the i-stop will not last more than 30s, it will automatically start your engine even your foot still press hard on the brake, this is because the air cond is not ready. To make the i-stop last longer than a minutes, you will need to turn the fan speed to low or even off. turn the fan to auto will not be any helpful. So, During your day time driving when the weather 'good' and your aircond is turn to speed 2 or more, the i-stop will not last longer than each traffic light stop.

maybe I-stop no ideal for our climate?
