Yup..it is for baby car seat.. and also to make more logical sense to me. You don't want the front passenger airbag to be deployed (even there is a collision) when there is no passenger next to u..

by right the "no passenger airbag" should light up when there is no front passenger or passenger with < 30kg <-- (according to mazdausa manual: here). I don't see this sign illuminated when i am driving without any passenger.

baby sit should put at the back seat. More secure compare to front seat and wont disturb you from driving. Besides, i'm not sure about mazda, but honda got isofix at the back for baby sit.

Agree on the point that baby seat should be at the back.. Just wondering how come the passenger front airbag cannot be disabled.. it is more of getting to know the features that come with the car rather than really want to disable it..=)

accident won't wait till you enable/disable. It is better to enable 24X7.

That's right, till one day bad things happens and you forget to enable it with a passenger sitting over there, who to blame then?? MAZDA? for letting you choose when to turn on the airbag?

Errm.. like I mentioned, I am just wondering how to do it since the capability is there. Furthermore, the passenger airbag turn on/off is supposed to be automatic. You don't have to turn it on/off manually but i am not seeing it behaving like that. That is why posting the question here. No intention to offend anyone..

i read that some cars front airbags are only activated when seat belts are worn; got buckle switch but dunno whether it applies here and/or to driver's airbag only

I also heard that airbag safe when you wear seat belt. This is because the pressure when airbag release is great that can kill someone . May be that is why activate when worn it. Not sure true or not

Air bags are not fully effective unless seatbelts are properly worn. The death rate was roughly about 15 times greater when the air bag activated while seatbelts were not worn. Always fasten your seatbelt for the best performance form your air bag.
If you don't wear your seatbelt properly, there is a danger of considerable injury from the air bag.

So..

Mazda to introduced the LED Adaptive Headlamp, similiar to Audi LED Matrix Headlamp.

Looks like everybody focusing on headlamp, it will be "light years ahead"..

But I'm excited and concern the same time with Automated Driving Tech. Yes. It helps us to drive better but at the question is.. Who's in control?

No, you did not offend anyone, just to let u know it's better to have the prevention n safety on standby. Baby seats is better to be at the back for the sake of their safety.

Just some advise from you guys, is there any obvious qualities difference btw CBU vs CKD from previous Mazda owners?

Is it a good time to get the Mazda 3 now as it's approaching year end where Mazda is clearing their on hand CBU stocks. While the CKD version coming in April 2015 with cheaper tag of around RM15k. Wait patiently for the CKD or get the CBU and paying the premium tag?

One thing that worries is me paying the premium tag, and in the end the CKD comes with the few essential features, Cruise Control, Auto Seats Adjustment, Auto Headlamps, Auto Wiper

depends on your individual need. do all these extra features really a need for you? or u can still survive without all these.
yes, no doubt with all these features, ur car would look more premium. but do u think is it possible a car already cheap 15k and still give u so much features? bermaz and berjaya earn wat? is not their style...
even yes, the quality of all this thing also a mystery...

for my personal view, definitely there is difference between cbu and ckd unit in terms of material quality and the qc...
if not y so many ppl would still go for cbu unit? too much money meh?

conclusion, is still up to you as u r the one who paying..our opinion is just for references only.

above just my 2 cents. brows.gif

not sure bout CKD and CBU between the new mazda 3, base on pass models, owners has complain there is big quality issue for the CKD as compare to the CBU

features for the CKD still unknown, probably will have features like auto seat control, reverse camera, leather seats since the new mazda 2 will have these feature, but features like sunroof, 18" rims, DRL might be remove

The album artwork from iPhone cannot display correctly when connect through USB cable. Anyone has the same issue? Btw, my GraceNote version is v31.

But album artwork display correct when play mp3 on USB.

Heard that latest V33 GraceNote will solve the issue? Has anyone successfully update to V33?
