Bermaz Glenmarie(HQ).

When I bought my car my SA ask me want to do autolock and auto side-mirror fold/unfold or not. Was quoted rm300 for it so i'm going to assume it's rm150 each. These 2 functions they can set with a software flash.

Hi, I'm a owner of low spec Mazda 3.

I called the Zoom-zoom line (1800-22-8080) and they said they can't do it. May I have the contact of your SA so I can update the software of my car to autolock enable?

Totally agree with you. Nowadays autolock is a must in Malaysia. Lot of robber in our country especially girls will be in danger if driving without lock. For europe car, the autoock is lock outside and inside still can open as usual. This is good and they don't have any excuses saying it is for safety feathures purposed.

I remember I asked a few SAs (non-Mazda as well) about why they don't do autolocks anymore, coz even my old car did have it. Apparently it is a restriction by Fire Dept coz they found that in serious accidents, the autolock mechanism somehow prevents the car door from being pried open - not sure how this is any different from a driver locking it manually though. hmm.gif

btw, can I ask all M3 High Spec owners here two simple queries:
1) How long does it take for your GPS to lock in on your location? I notice mine takes forever, and sometimes even after I have driven from KL to suburbs for 30-40 mins, still no lock on.
2) I notice there is sometimes some cranking sounds coming from the right rear side when I have stopped the car after a drive, like that of a tight suspension... is this normal?
will definitely check on these two items at my 1k service, but if anyone can share your experience will help me give some peace of mind. Thanks!

I heard that Japanese cars don't do autolock anymore because one women in Japan won a court case where she sued the car manufacturer because rescuers couldn't open her door due to autolock. But in Malaysia you are in more danger from robbers from driving an unlocked car than from being locked in in an emergency. Besides, rescuers can always break the window.

It is still possible to install auto lock from GS Accessories which is an authorized Mazda installer but the price is steep.

The gps needs to be able to connect to a satellite as per my image above. In clear skies and in slow traffic also it just shows 0 satellites connected , hence when I go to navigation, my location is like in between roads and not matching my location no matter how far I drive. It's as though I'm 'flying' tongue.gif

Of course. V-kool is famous with the smart tag issue. Even my friend's car with 3M also have smart tag issue.

Oh wai...the antenna is in the media screen device right?

The sound does not come from the bumper. It's from the suspension when moving over speedbumps, usually on a wet day.

And not every car is affected it seems. Some owners, be it local or international markets, report that they don't have any noise complaint.

Your car having the issue?

This problem has been around quite sometime. I wonder why Mazda is not resolving it. If a buyer is unlucky and receive such knocking sound car, it's like spending more than RM100,000 that sound like an old car when going over speedbumps. Zoom Zoom with Knock Knock!

Might be.

Cz some tint have potential smart tag + gps problem.
Vkool is one of the known tint that caused this issues due to metal based material.

Not sure bout llumar. Mine is wingard, no problem for both
