Just a random question, do you guys tint your beloved Mazda 3 headlamp with some headlamp protective film?

I see. I am planning to do so, saw a few small stone chips on the headlamp. Asked the price from SA, super expensive per headlamp. Therefore, wanna ask any recommended shop for doing headlamp protective films. I am in Penang currently.

Guys, how much is the premium that you are paying to insure the windscreen of your mazda 3? I was quoted $450 for the value of the windscreen at $3k. Is this reasonable?

i was quoted rm330 but i din go for it . anyhoo, u can claim insurance if something major happen to ur windscreen, but it effect ur ncb% later of course.

mazda 3 CKD quality will good compare to CBU?

worried after 1 year this and that rosak especially the electronic part.

Don't worry. Most user will switch off i-stop after 2 weeks. 

That being said, I wonder with CKD bring in those goodies, can we get these accesories to install in our Mazda 3?

a. HUD

b. Dirver Power Seat

c. Reverse camera.

For M3 CKD, these colors are unavailable. By what you mean additional costs most likely is re-spray the entire car.

Mazda 3 CKD have black and one more Blue reflex.

What is the brand of original tyre in CKD/CBU 215/45R18?
18in...... it's quite costly to replace after worn out.

I akan buat mogok lapar depan Bermaz menuntut Mazda Malaysia setuju keluarkan soul red for M3.

Jika tidak, I akan lodge police report for Bermaz under Akta Hasutan; kerana berjaya menghasut I minat M3 tapi takde kaler merah.

i'm sooo into this mazda 3 but after ytd i went MV to gv the car a feel, somehow im disappointed with the rear passenger seat, is too narrow, this is the only let down for me.

Looking for M3 spoiler and other add on accessories. Kindly acknowledge me anyone.

yes, but it won't be 100% color matching as soul red is a patented color with 7 layers, not easy to imitate
sry i din't kept tht color, ducktail spoilers require 3m double side tape is enough

what is the max speed of mazda 3?

I've seen few video from youtube on overseas M3 with 155hp 200nm. 0-100km/h about 8.5-9 seconds with top speed about 210-220kmh..

Msia high tune of 162hp 210nm should slightly faster than that.

I realize that we cannot replace the touchscreen head unit with an Android one as it is not a standard double din device. An Android head unit will be far more flexible. Well, you can't have everything.

I saw the Mirrorlink function in this page where you can broadcast your smartphone screen to the Mazda 3 head unit but don't know if this is available here.

Certainly an Android HU will be more flexible. You can download what you want from Google Play Store.

I wonder why give 18" rims for a C-segment car? Tyres will be expensive for the target market and due to our not that great Malaysian roads insulation must be very good to dampen noise and harshness. For a luxury car OK but for Mazda 3 not a good choice.

I wonder if we trade in rims and tyres for 17" in after market will it void warranty?

I called SA and he confirms warranty not affected by downgrading rim size. For future maintenance tyres will be cheaper. Doing aftermarket sound proofing is very expensive and not really effective. My friend spent RM3K for soundproofing his Civic and only managed to get about 30% noise reduction.

I just test drove the Mazda 3 CKD (thanks Jim Tan). I don't agree that the road noise is quite loud. Was testing without the radio on. At low speed can hear some road noise but not very obtrusive. With the radio on you'll probably not notice it. At higher speed it just fade into the background. Sound insulation is pretty decent. But different people have different perception. Test drive yourself first, don't just accept what another guy (including me) says.

For me I'll probably change to 17" rims. 18" is more for "gaya" la. Not so suitable for our bumpy Taman roads. And of course tyres will be cheaper.
