Lukaku is done deal.... kinda a disappointing that he didn't bother to try and fight for a place... he's still so young.

I'm hoping that Courtois will be patient enough to earn his place in the team... maybe play Cech in BPL and play Courtios in UCL and cup games.... that way, both will be happy...

QUOTE(Kerplunk @ Aug 1 2014, 03:42 PM) all the best to lukaku. Guess it was inevitable then aye. Surprised we didn't ship him off abroad though. Could still potentially hurt us whilst being in the epl. I don't think JM will worry too much if Costa couldn't perform... We had been without a good striker for the past few years... And we still manage to wrestle with the team on top... so, to me, a goal scoring striker is just a compliment to our already good team.... if we get a consistent striker, then we'll be one of the most fear opponent in Europe.I for one find it hard to believe we're going to endure the season with just costa and torres as our main strikers. I mean..can nando even be considered a decent back-up option? will drogs get a sprinkling of games? how many exactly? bamford getting a few? everyone here knows jose's not that kind of risk taker either. sorry for being such a pessimist, but i feel even one minor injury (2 - 3 weeks on the treatment table) to diego costa at a crucial period during the campaigh could turn our season into a complete disaster. |

QUOTE(briantwj @ Aug 3 2014, 10:42 PM) yea. But he is still an ex Chelsea player, hope he do well in Everton and 1 day....come back to us! Yup... Mou starting to experiment two striker up front... might be good to mix up the game plan.... at least we dun stick to one striker all the time....Hope Mou can bring out the best in Torres too. Now without Lukaku and an aging Drogba. Torres' main competition is Costa ni. |

QUOTE(yokoloco @ Aug 22 2014, 12:29 PM) balo is too unpredictable and not the same kind of disciplinary problems that Suarez have. And AC selling him off for peanuts might mean something. balo to pool is such a waste.... he has all the potential to improve since he's still young... and worked under Mou before... but since we already have Costa... no need him.... can't wait for the second game... missed the first game as went back to kampung... no wifi, no cable tv....But hope pool the best. Still think Chelsea has the best transfer window so far. See them in EPL and UCL |

QUOTE(bitebug @ Aug 22 2014, 01:57 PM) daniel sturridge doesn't fit our system... plus he is a selfish player.... i dun like selfish players... if he is great (like CR, Messi, Robben and RVP) but selfish grabbing the goals then ok... during his time in chelsea colors... I dun recalled we need to rely on sturridge to supply the goals.... our goals always comes from all the players... players share the goals.... the reason sturridge excel in Kop is because, they rely heavily on the strikers to score goals... their midfields scoring ability is average... mostly supply more than score goals.... which is why, they seems to be panic after Suarez left.... they need big name strikers.... rather than just rely on sturridge.... with balotelli going to the reds... it'll be interesting to see... because once Super Mario is in, I dun think Rickie Lambert will get to play much....And in our side, we need to have a consistent backup for costa... Schurlle seems to be in great form of late... if Drogba and Torres can't find their form, I think Mou will deploy Schurlle as the false 9 role... |

QUOTE(briantwj @ Aug 25 2014, 12:22 PM) Well. I think Utd still lack a good CB. Their best 3 CB would be Evans, Smalling and Jones. If 1 injured, 1 suspended, gg. Who else to back up? Blackett, Keane does not seem to be gud enuff. They nid Hummels, not Di Maria actually. not really... Luiz play good football if there is another CB covering for him.... if he is the only covering CB, it will be a disaster.... remember Germany 7 Brazil 1? I still think the best position for Luiz is DM not CB.... I don't care if United gonna get Di Maria, I'm liking the way our players linked up now... but there are moments when the defense is easily unlock on a counter attack... it shows on few occasions during Leichester game... thank God for Azpi and Matic... those two are really hard working... And also some proper wingbacks. Shud've signed PVA. Match of the Day did mentioned dat Smalling and Jones are not creative enough. The middle CB get a lot of the ball, but no running and gud passing from them. Imagine if Luiz playing for Utd, would be a gud player in LVG's 352 middle CB. |

QUOTE(briantwj @ Aug 25 2014, 12:41 PM) Was watching Match of The Day. Les Ferdinand giving his view, and seems to make some sense though. true... but Rami just come back.... fitness is not 100% if not I think he will start most of the game.... he is one of those player type that Mou adores... much like the Bison Essien.... versatile and yet relentless stamina.... Oscar is gooding as well... maybe trying to erase that 7-1 nightmare.... our Brazilian plays like a winner. Utd nid a ball playing CB actually. Hummels might be a gud choice. But Woodward.... Didn't follow the french ligue though, not sure how Luiz is doing. yea. Really satisfied with our squad. Only thing is our defense at times look a bit shaky, very very prone to counter attacks. |

QUOTE(gry @ Aug 25 2014, 04:31 PM) I prefer Torres to be offload... Mikel is still important to the team... MVG is not ready yet.... Striker is pretty much settled as Drogba will play second fiddle to Costa... so, its only logical to offload Torres... no use keeping a high earning player on bench.... |

man... liverpool supporters are cruel... on their thread, they are rejoicing for the injury of their own player... how cruel is that?
you can blame players for the lost... but rejoicing while the player is injured? that is another level... I don't believe any of our supporters wanting Torres to be injured and rot on the bench.... |

QUOTE(abusive123 @ Aug 26 2014, 10:09 AM) Wow, I just read that in their thread as well. As much as Torres frustrates me, I would never wish him injured or harmed. Just shows the so called "class" of some of these Kop fans I think if Balotelli doesn't starts scoring, they'll wish he is injured also... what a class supporters they have.... on the side note, Cech gets a bit of attention on twitter... apparently a MU fan went and provoke our goalie, and got 'Cech'mate... lol |

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Aug 26 2014, 12:21 PM) well some fans just too emotional. true... Everton had been our bogey team for quite some time now.... after the game we will know our weakness....moving from that, i just realize that we will go against Everton this weekend. a huge step up from both of our opponents before this, they possessed quite a balance squad and able to play both physical and tactical game. this game will be a huge part for us to understand and evaluate our squad. |

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Aug 26 2014, 12:35 PM) we must avoid our performance in the first half against Leicester, miss-passing..losing the ball easily..lack of closing down and lack of link up play. yup... must be something Mou said on half time to motivate the players.... I really like it when they sub out Costa for Drogba... the standing ovation.... such a great welcome for the legendary number 11.... I hope to see Lampard come back like that someday |
