Yup, I went to the Tesco today, and first I asked the cashier to reload my TnG using Amex. Apparently he said only available with cash. I went to its CS, the same answer given. I end up went to Jaya Grocer at ESG to reload my TnG.

Which tesco u went? Almost all the tesco no allow top up of TNG with credit card. It is better check before go as it will wasted petrol to travel.

yeah, i managed to reload tng at tesco with cc and also pay with tng.

Then, u should ask admin to update this tesco might no accept credit card if handled by different cashier.
So that other will be aware no go to that tesco if got other choice

I managed to pay for cigarette at CS counter using Watson TnG card at Tesco Kepong Village Mall. However, when I want to pay for groceries at the cashier counter, the staff don't know how to use it for payment

So far I did not see any cashier know how to use Touch N Go for payment except those at customer service.
I would say this Touch N Go service will be failure if no action taken to train the cashier to use the terminal to make payment with Touch N Go.

I can see the terminal installed for Touch N Go payment. But , none of the staff there know how to operate it.

You're using normal TnG card or Tesco's TnG card? Then you reloaded at normal counter or CS' counter?

for tng reload, i reloaded to my tesco tng card using cc. reloaded rm10 but only rm7.50 swiped due to their tng promo voucher that time.
for tng payment, i paid with my plusmiles tng at cashier counter 26. that's the only counter able to do that according to the supervisor who did the transaction for me.

purchase the giant gift card and pay by cc at any cashier counter. reload tng using giant gift card at counter rokok

If the supervisor from the rokok counter come over to activate the gift card at the cashier, don't reload using gift card at the rokok counter immediately with the same supervisor because it will be seen as indirect TnG credit card reload by the supervisor. You can reload on your next trip to Giant.
The bottom line is, don't terang terang do the credit card-to-gift card trick right in front of supervisor's nose.
