How come the last time I went there they say TnG reload only cash????? Do they take Amex as well? Any transaction charges for CC?

i never ask anything just tell the cashier to reload for me

At Tesco Mutiara Damansara (The Curve) just now.
I have no intention to top up my TnG Club card but duty bound to ask on behalf of lowyat forum community here if I can top up TnG Club card with CC. In order to get as accurate information as possible, I asked 5 Tesco staff.

My question: Can I top up TnG Club card by credit card ??

These are the answers:

Club Card promoter : Can can Can, any counter also can top up by CC.
Cashier 1 : No, cash only. top up kat CS (pointing to the CS counter)
Cashier 2: Boleh, tapi kena supervisor overriding.
Supervisor 1 : I think can, wait wait, let me confirm. ( Try to walky-talky with supervisor 2).
Supervisor 2: Credit card can, oh sorry, top up Club card ar? Cash only. Sorry sir.

So, conclusion is....CASH only. But sometimes you can be lucky if a blur blur cashier/supervisor accept top up by CC.

the supervisor 2 said top up clubcard tng cannot use cc, so top up other types of tng cards ok? lol...

Top up touch and go with RHB weekend 15% rebate today at Tesco Shah Alam seksyen 13. The RHB Promotion end tomorrow, so anyone who have RHB credit card dont miss the chance. I reloaded RM 250 with RHB visa card without any question.

By the way, just curious... cause I have spent RM250 for touch and go at tesco and they give me RM8 cash voucher for 3. Which mean RM 24 in total. Can I use the Tesco Free cash voucher to reload the touch and go? Anyone tried before? If can Then I will have another RM 24 free touch and go money..

Have you notice RHB allocate only a mere rm100,000 each month for the rebate? I would think that the rebate would have already exhausted even in the first or second weekend. You would be lucky if still able to get the rebate. Do report back if you get the rebate though.

BTW, the rm8 cash voucher also has TnC which u need to spend a certain amount to use each voucher. Not that you can just have free rm24 just like that.

I think the best is buat dunno and just pay with CC together with other grocery purchases without asking any question. The moment you raised the question can pay by CC or not, then you make the cashier hesitate to accept CC already.

Ya, I notice the tnc of the free voucher as well... With min spending RM 40 to utilize the voucher... But 8/40 is equal to 20% already.. If can then I will just reload with another RM 120 with the RM 8 x 3 = RM 24 voucher. Haha

Pls do not be so happy, I believe it is highly depend which outlet u go. Some can accept and some will reject u to do that.

Just went to Tesco Ara Damansara, they accept CASH only for TnG reload.

just reloaded rm500 into my tng at mydin usj. latest balance rm1,045.60...
