i think it's like a bass booster.. alpine call it MX(media xpander) but it enhances the sound.. claimed that it gifs better SQ to mp3s which i think it isn't.. it mixed up all my sounds tongue.gif

Each Hu got their own bass function.. but I don't like that... may cause sound mix up, can't hear vocal, music & bass separately...
I prefer tune bass by amp...HU zero setting...then woofer board tune...lol

nah
X-Bass on balupunkt is just a bass booster
Alpine's Media Xpander is a much more useful tool with EQ, X-O, and TA

It goes to "Low" "Mid" and "High" settings, I just set MID. Can't feel any difference though.

Anyway, how do you guys tune woofer using amp?

80? wah... quite bassy eh, as I'm listening to Jay's songs nowadays... with high volume, if i set lower frequency, can't really listen to the songs.. hehe... it's like the woofer itself is louder than the componnents biggrin.gif

@daniel31

what car you drive? componnents? a lot of my friends got pionner sub also hehe... it's quite popular here in kch biggrin.gif But now they say mine is better hehe... listening to Techno songs biggrin.gif

Anyway, my componnents are now connected directly from my HU. My friends have been asking me to connect to my my amp, how good quality it produce actually? Like?

Why you use 4 channel don't use 2 channel of it to push your component?

can't DIY ho? I don't really listen to the "psss" sound though, it all depends on my CDs... mostly the songs are downloaded. Would the amp help to get rid of the sound?

if u c the amp rationg/specs, there is a thing called THD-total harmonic distortion.. normally they r rated below 0.001%.. i'm reffering to those branded stuffs larhh.. not those few hundred bucks stuffs..

the "pss" sound is simplified to b easy understand yet behind there r still lots of noise to be heard if the THD is high..

all i can say is that the amp performs better than the 1 from HU and louder (as in powerful) than the HU.. icon_rolleyes.gif
