if PC is going to be commoditized and the trend is like handphone, then PC shop will be a good bizness.
else... hard to survive also.

selling expensive thing in kampung, security should be the 1st issue.
small case is ppl break your shop during the night and take all available hardware, big case is they bring parang in during the day asking u to pack for them and ... they want your pants and underwear.

to make things earsier, i suggest u dealed with the shops at lowyat plaza as dealers becoz starting u'll get small portion of customer, when ur shop is expanding then only go for distributors

But how much capital you got? And this bring answer to how big of the shop you can open.

The following you need to study about when you do business:

Vendor
Where do you buy your stock? How competative the price you can get? This is very important to ensure a stable supply at a stable price and with a lot of choices. If once a while tell you price rise, everytime also said not enough stock blahh... you see your business fly away like flies.

Customer
Who will buy your goods? You have to look into how big your prospect market is. What kind of customers you going to serve? Are they normal MS Office users, online chatters/emailers, or hard core gamers? Also, their finaicial capability smile.gif Then you will know what kind of destop you will need to sell there.

Competitors
Is there someone else doing the same business in your kampung? If no, why not? If yes? How good are they? How bad are they? And what better deal you can offer?

Capital
How you will source your financial needs? Bank loan? Which bank? Saving? Borrow from grandma? Every single cents needed to be spent all need to be worked out carefully.

Location
A good location is always a good start for a business, you hide inside a dark corner then nobody will discover you. Do some research on all the possible locations at your kampung, of course, this has to be based on your financial capability as well, how expensive rental you can affort, or you can buy a shoplot straight away.

How you let people know about your business? Send door to door flyers? Or put front cover page ads in local newspaper? You have to find out the best and most efficient way to let the most people know about your business at the minimal cost.

Thats about it! biggrin.gif My 1/2 cents!
ps: I am not doing any business, yet.

Most important thing you need to survey the kampung first and also see how many ppl without PC. Cause nowaday alot kampung also got computer. Also price must be cheap. Depend on the wealth of the kampung.

Hope this can help you. I am kampung boy also.
